  1. hello has anybody on here got an idea what areas of the united kingdom it has realy got established i havent looked at any websites concerning this disease just wanted to know from any member who had come across it cheers shavey
  2. what a great idea:thumbup: that format you have laid out looks clean and uncluttered basic straight forward easy to read and find the answer as rob d said some books have too much information gets confusing another idea which will make it more expensive but well worth it have the pages laminated or some sort of photo album sleeve type of idea as we all know when your out working handling green wet trees ones hands arent usualy fit for turning the pages on a nice adult tree book:thumbup1::thumbup1:
  3. hello it kooks a nice peice of kit, it could be handy for cutting up trees after being piled up after winching up the steep slopes what is the ball park cost approx for this machine cheers shavey

  7. hello is there any dawn redwoods in this country just wondering what they looked like its just that on the parkland where i work there are various big growth douglas, various pines , silver firs and also the supposed redwoods???? now i want to identify them it would be great to get some photos:thumbup::thumbup:

  12. everybody has strong veiws on different things in life and its human nature to voice there thoughts on that particular subject which is close to their heart but they can be voiced straight to the point without being rude or insulting we all upset somebody and rub them up the wrong way but if we do we should put it right:thumbup: apparently my wife reckons i upset everything i dont need a forum to do that:lol::lol: if you havent anything good too write about somebody dont write nothing at all:thumbup: but this doesnt apply to theives and rest of that merry bunch of no gooders:thumbdown:

    :bash:nice one mate i had this lot pinched 2 sachs dolmar saw 117 133 2 husky strimmers 232r 235r 1 tanaka pole saw two attachments i new quad bike sprayer 1 husky 254 2 jonsered 2054 turbo and sp49 1 sthil hs 45 hedge trimmer luckily the rest off the tools was in for service iam still seithing:thumbdown: now i have a 20 foot ferry container in an big open barn but i have lights up and signs but the doors to the container are very stiff and if they get all the locks off then if the door is opened it is connected to a rope which is joined up to a trip bolt and when tightened some things that will fall on them solid and liquid :thumbup:
  18. in amongst the douglas stands there is the odd big jap larch which are looking good :thumbup:

  20. hello mark it is a wonderful feeling standing under it all the history and weather it has seen i havent heard about the large sitka spruce near ullswater hopefully somebody will enlighten us :thumbup:
  21. another little gem just around the corner is motte and bailey a norman hill fort looking out over the river taw
  22. back in march i mentioned that there was huge douglas fir :thumbup: well today i went with my wife and dog to eggesford forest which covers approx 800acres broken up into several woodlands seperated by roads and i found the tree it is magnificent it was planted in 1840 :thumbup1: well worth a visit wow! it is situated in amongst a wonderful stand of south east facing smaller douglas planted 1920-1940 and the stands above the big tree was planted 1940 to 1960
