  6. A couple of funny dudes .
  7. Morning all . Mild . Damp . Pompy lost away to Cardiff 2-0 after scoring an own goal in the first few mins . Hopeless ๐Ÿ˜”
  8. Ok mate hold still a mo I just want to nick you in the keg , wait I cant see your legs maybe I could tag you in the shoulder , Hold still FFS ......Get real Mark
  9. Are you going on a motor bike then Pete?
  10. Morning good people . Chilly 6c at the moment . Have a good one .
  11. Browning Xbolt . Thing is I already have the scope I described above ( the one I looked at the cow with ) . Just wondered what others would recommend as I bought it on the recommendation of an advert/review really rather than from experienced shooters like .yourself . It seems to be good but other than the Hawk I have on the .22 ( which is also good ) I have limited experience of trying scopes .
  12. Thats what I thought . Bin it .
  13. Oi oi Les . Yerp I am good . I expect Jase will be along in a mo . Morning all !
  14. Go on , you owe it to yourself . Get a MK2 . The same as when you need a new vacuum cleaner when the one you got is shot . ๐Ÿ™‚ You will be surprised at what you could get for the Mk 1 on fleabay . " Runs fine , slight oil leak so spares or repair "
  15. Its a tricky one to assess / weigh up . If you feel confidant to do the repair , split the cases etc etc then yes . However it was a weakness in the MK 1 and could happen again despite your repair . The Mk 2 is a way better saw than the Mk1 . So .... Ho hum what do you do ?
  16. He means a new gasket but some Hylomar or similar in addition .
  17. Assorted lint and fluff , and a dog whistle .
  18. As some of you may have guessed I am relatively new to full bore center fire stuff . I have been a shot gun man since the age of 14 and am close to 72 now . I can no longer lift and swing my browning Citorie O/U due to my injures . The browning has won me " mutleys " at clay shooting , served me well below the mean high water mark , Pigion shooting from a hide and game shooting ( on beaters days ) but cant do it now so I thought I would try rifles . ( bench rest / bean bag on the bonnet etc etc . ) . I have had air rifles over the years but not proper center fire guns . The Daystate Huntsman Revere ( .22 ) has impressed me . At the indoor range I can put 11 pellets in the black ( 5p piece size ) and the grouping is so tight you can not tell how many . (25yds) Its not my skill but the quality of the gun . I just have to hold it still ! . This has a Hawk scope . The Vector optics scope for the big gun is a 30mm tube . Its a Paragon 5-25x56 generation 2 with side focus . I looked at a cow out of my loft window that had to be 500yds away and with a twiddle of adjustment and resting the scope on the window frame ( not mounted to a gun ) the cow looked to be 40 yds away ! Anyway I appreciate all your advice on this subject . The club goes to Bisley once a month and maybe I can try it there . Regards clicks on turrets with my .22 I don't alter the zero once set , just hold over ( or under ) as it needs .
  19. Yea I got Hawk on my Daystate .22 and its fantastic at 30 - 35 yards . But on my .308 I am liking the first focal plane of the Vector Optics scope . I am asking coz of Leupold and the likes . I know its a personal thing but just interested . I think Vector Optics aew very good for the price .
  20. Get in !
  21. You guys that shoot spot bollock on , what FFP scope do you recommend and use ? . I am well impressed with Vector Optics stuff . Up there with the the other guys but lower on price .
  22. Stubby

  25. It seems to be struggling and from the pics a possible fungle infection and I don't know how to make it better . Just a quick edit , I'm all for the birds and feed them all the time so , Until you can sort something else hang some feeders somewhere you can see . I'm currently getting lots of Gold Finches among others .
