  1. A Jonsered something , all metal and no AV and a little yellow Alko topper ..
  2. STFU . You don't " chop " trees down with a saw anyway . Thats done with an axe . You are also disrespectful . Being a gobby gardener cuts no ice with me . Incidentally he may already have a medal or 2 . I hate you .
  3. Not really a tree in a tree but my mate has a really old apple tree and there is a cavity at about chest height were a limb has come off and in the mush inside , each spring there sprouts some daffodils . I really like it . Sorry no pics . View Unread Posts
  4. If you buy your own saw ( probably around the 45 to 60 cc bracket ) get the bestist mostest professional saw you can afford . Once you have passed ( despite Vesp pissing on fireworks again ) you will want to start Up grading / getting more / bigger saws . So don't get some limp home owner twaddle coz you will want to " out it " for a pro saw as soon as . You can NEVER have too many saws . Its in the rules .
  5. Don't forget its a LH thread . I find compression is enough if you make sure the de comp is out . Use a copper or aluminum drift and twat it with a mallet in the right direction of rotation and it will spin off .
  6. Re check gap on spark unit and fly wheel . I had one ( years ago ) and it was that .
  7. Currently 2 degrees . Clear sky . Been a sunny day . Forecast minus 2 tonight . Cold till at least next Thursday . I think that's nation wide .
  8. He starts his coarse in a couple of weeks . He is at the point of needing to by a saw ...................
  9. They hit them over the head with cuckoo clocks .
  10. Yes he is but knowing there might be " armed teachers " could encourage even more nut jobs .....
  11. Yea . There is holiday and there is sick holiday . Then there is sick .
  12. I know what you are saying , and I can always manage mine by hand but it is always harder than any other saws I own . I don't think I tighten the 346 any more than the others . I think it is peculiar to the 346 . possibly it pulls a vacuum ?
  13. Bad idea I feel . There will be idiots out there who will take that as a challenge and try and start a fire fight with teachers . Also there may be the odd teacher who has an itchy trigger finger then all is lost . Just me .
  14. I wondered that . Suppose I could go out and find out .......Nope . Could not get my 540 cap to fit my 346 . Now I got oily fingers .
  15. I want you on my side Gary ....if there is a war mate .
  16. Shit that's bad news Matty . Mind you I don't much like the 576 . Too heavy for the power it produces . Might as well have a 385 ( 390 ) .
  17. All I can tell you is my very early 560 ( 1 bolt less in the crank case halves ) has a muffler mod ( maybe some other internal stuff but I dont know coz the bloke who did it would not say ! ) a high top filter and cover from a 562 and an 8 pin power mate on an 18" .325 Sugi pro bar does not play up at all . It is a peach of a saw . Does not hunt , does not run on , just does the job .
  18. The little inquisitive tilt of the Owls head does it for me ......
  19. Surely this should be in the " Codwood " thread ?
