  1. You are supposed to periodically " dress " the bar . That is file the burrs off , or the lip as you put it , and turn the bar over to even out the ware . Eventually the drivers on the chain will bottom out in the groove and you will be able to rock them from side to side . The bar is then worn out .
  2. It wont make any difference at all . We talking three thousandths of an inch !

    Where am I ?

    You know I am not ! ?
  5. I think I need to clarify something here . The " pants " referred to are , in actual fact , a pair of Husqvarna Technical chainsaw strides that I bought but never wore so still as new . I wont need them .
  6. Cleared up here . Sunny all next week it seems .
  7. Monty Python . The three ( or was four ) Yorkshire men sketch .
  8. Used to lick road clean wid touge ...Get up half an hour before we went to bed , pay mill owner for permission to come to work and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep wid a broken bottle ...If we were lucky !
  9. I would just like to say that Steve ( spud ) has fettled most of my saws over the years and always done a top banana job making them perform much better than standard and increasing their reliability . For example the first he did was a 2004 346XP and it is still a stonker . All I have ever done is replace a spark plug in all that time . I always give him feed back and give recommendations to others . Its not hard to do . He has after all contributed to my earning capacity .
  10. The guy who lives opposite me is a professional drummer . ( teaches and plays in the big shows ) . He gave me a complimentary yesterday to go and see him drumming in Priory Park ( Chichester ) in the band accompanying Johnny Mars . Key boards , guitar , bass , percussion ( the biggest ginger afro I have ever seen ) Drums ( my mate ) and Johnny on harp . Excellent out door evening !
  11. All the above may well be true but , ( I did not hear about it till 3 weeks before the event ) if it had gone ahead the result would still be the same . ...Unable to leave or enter our village for the day along with all the surrounding villages .
  12. Oi GP . Stop fiddling with my post ! ?
  13. Hi Andrew . You are not allowed in unless you are wearing a tie ?
  14. They used a soft Dutchman with a tapered hinge if I'm not mistaken ?
  15. Between 7.30 am and 4,30 pm I would say . ?
  16. So the forwarder does not tear its sump out . ?
  17. The height is the thing for me . ( TCD ) ?
  18. 10 posts and he has already torn you a new arse hole RH ! ?
  19. I have no objection to sport raising money for good causes . I have no objection to sport full stop . Having played competitive squash for 40 odd years , cricket , rugby and judo . What I was pissed about was the total lack of consultation when it obviously had been a long time in the planning . We were just told , via a leaflet through the door , that we would not be able to leave or enter the village for the best part of a day . So . Lets hope that for 2019 it can be better organized for all concerned , riders , marshals and the residents of all the surrounding villages .
  20. What happened to the wry smile as they drew back the curtains ? ?
