  1. the 190 seems to fit the bill, ive used the 150 a lot, snedding and letting it clear itself is time consuming alright. never worked the 190 but used a vermeer a fair bit. its realistically too big for a lot of my work but ive found one at the right price...
  2. accelorate out, id always try to have a touch more weight on the hitch...
  3. First chipper getting closer by the day... but I dont know which to choose! Timberwolf 150, 190 vermer bc1000 or what???? I do a lot of leylandi reductions and general stuff so I need a capable machine... with Brexit sterling is getting affordable and im busy enough to justify the purchase...
  4. The defenders look great, but for the same money you can buy a very high spec American truck. Just thinking about it at the moment. Unimog are rarely used to even a fraction of there potential here!
  5. Hedges, roadside work is what I was thinking. It's a lot dearer than climbing but should have near the same advertising value as a mog?
  6. Would a Ford F550 or Dodge Ram with a 30 or 40 foot Altec or similar be of much benefit?? Has anyone used any for standard trimming, removals or work? They seem to be good value for money. It could be used for switch out work on some line clearance work too... any feedback apreciated!
