  1. Dont think there would be a problem with that , glyphosate not nearly as effective this time of year but wait for a nice sunny day if you are using it. I would personally use broadsword as my chemical though.
  2. There is a flint quarry up here that dates back to neolithic times ' Boddam ' near Peterhead, its still being used today.
  3. Thanks for taking the time out to show the other one, much appreciated.
  4. Hi ELG, No Grahams is much older 10000-4000BC. The other one is bronze age 2500-500BC .
  5. I would have shot it to... Dead though.
  6. No wonder it hated humans!! The poor things full of lead shot!!!!
  7. Can you explain that ELG , as i havent seen the other one.
  8. It is so highly polished i think it has been used to scrape animal hides. Just a thought ? Fantastic find.
  9. How do you get 10 deer out of a remote Swedish woodland Mike ?
  10. Thats great you got it sorted .. but.. you will still need to get comfortable eventually without the footstirrup.
  11. If your not ready for the test then dont feel pressurised into doing it . You really need to be doing it in your sleep before the test. Especially if its your money thats paying for it.
  12. I agree with that, alot of serial killers , maniacs start out by torturing animals. This person needs to be caught quickly and I'll put my name forward to fire the bullet.
  13. His name was Johnny Hoogerland , and he won the bravery award that day , really deserved. Good on the Netherlands. Sorry for the slight derail stereo
  14. That was a well put across point ' stereo ' It certainly didnt do the dutch rider any good in the Tour De France last year. He summersaulted head first into a barb fence and was completely lacerated. He still finished the stage incredibly.
  15. I'm getting the violin out..... no tears now!!
  16. You really need to take this further. There are people like Treequip, S.Blair on here that will advise you consequently and you really need to take on board what they say.
  17. lol!! Imagine if you had that on film That reminded of an incident many moons ago except it was a lurcher and a harris hawk after the rabbit when all of a sudden the harris dived into the undergrowth. When we got there all we could see was the back end of a stoat disappearing down the throat of the harris ! I cant remember if the lurcher got the rabbit ! Didn't take the terrier near the rocks it was hiding in , there was NO way i was putting my hand in there to pull boulders out. I've never seen such valiance and aggression from such a small animal.
  18. I actually came across a mink in the stone walls i was talking about. It reminded me of a Tasmanian devil with its aggression and the noise it was making. It kept poking its head out and flashing its impressive nashers at me . My little terrier was going ballistic but i thought discretion was the better part of valour!!!
  19. Ah ha, here in lies the problem !! Youse got rid of all the mink and party time for the riverside rabbits
  20. I've said on here many times it is THE way to get into the industry.
  21. We are surrounded by huge stone dykes also and as you say it is a safe haven for them. I can only think there must be so many of them that they are taking refuge in the riverbanks . They definetly will not like dampness so as river levels rise i would think they would disappear. Being so close to the river they would get heavily predated by mink aswell .
  22. Remember the secondary anchor position doesnt have to be on a branch above you ( i think your getting confused with limb walking on the cs39 course when you use the other end of your rope to tie in above you aswell )?
  23. Quite a strange and unusual story this in regards to rabbits burying into riverbanks. This must be very, very rare indeed because its not a natural place for a rabbit to reside. I would be more inclined to think the rabbits are finding it too damp where the purple willow grows . The past two winters up here the rabbits stripped the bark off everything in sight and left nothing. That is an interesting fact if true because i have only ever heard of them leaving box hedging.
