  1. Its crossed my mind before, when I did this one I took some big lumps off, but I did move around a bit to keep it reasonably balanced. It wasn't as bad as yours sounds though...

PHEWWW , BLIMEY ! ..... Dont normally watch 9 min dismantle vids but that had me sweating :001_huh: Best one for me that really enjoyed it :thumbup1:

  2. Is everyone still up for this? Or have the wives spoken?!

The sound of silence Pete .. Unbelievable when you come on to a tree surgeons forum and cant get anyone to give up an hour or two . Sorry stick my nose in but for goodness sake lads . :blushing::001_smile:

  3. So how many of the people saying 560 have actually used both over a long enough period to come to that conclusion? :sneaky2:

If i was asking a chainsaw question , these would be the lads i would be looking for a reply from :thumbup1::biggrin:

  4. I put my back out couple of winters ago righting an old horse that had got stuck in the snow . Had to crawl out of the field , never had any back trouble before this . I'm convinced a heated mattress combined with plenty of horseriding is the answer . If i start to feel a slight niggle i step up the horseriding and its gone , it really is fantastic for strengthening the core :001_smile:

  5. i'd be game for that, would be nice to get out with new people and learn new things from seeing how other people do it, just let me know when :) cheers

(if i dont reply for a while its because i rarely come on here)

Its ok dont worry about it someone will come round and personally hand you over the times . :001_smile:

  6. Sat on a work bench on top of kitchen roll every day and the next morning the kitchen roll would be soaked in oil , exactly as Tom10 says . Havent thought about it for a while now until this post . Was a 12" bar btw :001_smile:

  7. Did any of you see Ed Stafford walk the ENTIRE LENGTH of the Amazon ??

This was one of the most epic voyages i have ever seen or read about and i have read ALOT of adventure / exploration stuff . It was so dangerous at times the local guides refused to go any further . The guy is a legend or at least he should be . Not a place for the faint hearted .. perfect for plucky arb types :001_smile:

  8. Awesome trees there , its just mindblowing the historical importance and meaning to the british people that these trees are , past , present and future.... Agree Skyhuck of the christian hijackings especially the bloomin easter chocolate bunny thingy

  9. Since going to the states and there only being american sports on tv, I'm hooked! Taking my lad to an ice hockey game next week:thumbup:

    Sent from my Galaxy S2

Brilliant Rob , is at an NHL game ?? If so couple of pics would go down well with me anyway ( I'm a big hockey fan - Pittsburgh Penguins )

Interesting how American sports fans can mix together and not one ounce of trouble ( and were talking tough U.S cities ) unlike the utterly disgraceful , vile spectacle of a sport that is football over here .

  10. This is really for the Scottish arbtalkers but feel free to comment , I need to get this off my chest .... Dougie Vipond is just doing my head in . We have probably the best rock climber in the world at the moment , a guy called Dave MaCleod who has appeared in a few televised rock climbs lately . I feel strongly that the climbs are not being given justice because of this monosyllabic drone that is Dougie Vipond ( and i know nothing about rock climbing ) but appreciate what the guy is achieving .

This is an absolute wasted opportunity to present Scottish world class talent to the wider world and its getting ruined because if you turn over to watch , youd think the world paint drying championships were on .

The guys got the charisma of an ironing board yet he presents Landward ? :confused1:

    Rant over :001_smile:

  11. I got a pair of type A Waipoua's about a month ago because of the unseasonably hot weather we had up here . I wanted something light and reasonably priced and that is what they are .

What they are not is climbing trousers .... No where near enough stretch in them if you are serious climbing every day ( which i am not ) .

Looks like my Hi-flex will be out more than i would like so i regret not paying the extra money to get something better :001_smile:
