  1. Thanks Born2trot,I used to drive horses a few years back too, loved it,but the roads round my way make it a bit of a liability, still got a few mates that drive & trot.:001_smile:

Yep its getting far too dangerous on the roads now , just not worth it , you should get in the woods with them instead !! Too busy with the harley now i suppose

  2. Not living in York might have something to do with Us discussing it, not noticing the application notification signs one would have thought

The tree were already ruined, they should have come down and start again.

They should never have been topped in the first place

    Absolutely ...

  3. Trees such as willows, limes, poplars etc respond vigorously to hard cutting like this, though other species would not fare so well.

I know they do... but as Marc said does this mean its right to perform such acts on them ??

The actions here have ruined a beautiful and truely special landmark imo

  4. My wife has been undergoing chemotherapy for the last 6 months. It is not easy. I don't want to sound unkind but I would not want to put a dog through it. It may be best for the dogs sake to have him put down.

    Very difficult times.

    I agree with that .

  5. My little dog was diagnosed with lymphoma last March . She was fit as a fiddle and full of vitality so it came as a crushing blow because she has never left my side in all the years i've had her .

She is on a course of steroids and is still here over a year later but it is coming to an end soon ... i feel your pain

  6. Guys are absolutely right , it will surprise you what you can carry over from previous experiences .

Your still a cheeky sod though i played my first ice hockey game last night at the tender age of 42 ! :thumbup1::laugh1:

  7. Hi Kevin , put the ' cart before the horse ' there  and answered your pm before reading the post . Bit clearer now on your plans !

Fantastic you are thinking of horse extraction as i said , so feel free to pm me . I might be on full time contracts shortly so an opportunity to see my work may be coming up .

Guss109 and N.I thankyou for your kind words ...
