  1. Cost me about £800 about 4 years ago. Two storey cottage with inglenook fireplace and new chimney hat. Took two blokes about two hours. The liners aren't cheap.
  2. I'm still burning some silver birch from 2 years ago and still solid. On the other hand I have had birch that had been on the ground for a couple of years and it was quite rotten. So OK if dried and kept dry.
  3. Not sure if this has been posted before but would anyone attempt this? [ame= ] [/ame]
  4. A lot of them aren't really juicers as they don't extract anything just pulverise it. I normally start off with Spinach and Kale, then some fruit and a few nuts and seeds. Add a bit of crushed ice and top up with water.
  5. Got one of these just before Christmas and can't fault it. Buy NutriBullet - Grey at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for Blenders and smoothie makers.

    Wood usage

I have an 8KW woodburner used about 6 hours a day all winter mostly on low. Last year I used about 6-7m3.
  7. I take your point, there is no physical stop or anything but you can push it in only halfway.
  8. Have the same saw but start slightly differently. My saw is also quite often not used for a few months. Pull out decompression button. Pull out choke fully. Pull once or twice and it normally fires and stops. Push in choke half way. Pull and hopefully start and push choke fully in after about 10 secs. Make sure the spark plug is clean or replace if you have problems starting. I'm not a professional arborist but never had a problem with this saw in 3 years now. Hope this helps.
  9. For info I have a double skinned 150mm liner and all the logs I burn have been seasonsed for at least one year.
  10. Did my annual chimney clean today and decided to weigh the tar/residue. It weighed 3 1/2 lb. I have an 8KW log burner lit most evenings throughout the winter and all day at weekends. Didn't weigh it last year but probably about the same. How does this compare to others. Thoughts!!!
  11. Probably get through about 6 m3 this year lighting the woodburner (8KW) late afternoon until early morning. Keeps the whole house reasonable with the gas central heating only going on an hour and 1/2 in the morning and 3/4 at bedtime. Not in the trade so buy it in green and uncut or from trees I've cut down for friends and relatives.
  12. I also use my greenhouse for personal logs. I tend to put them in there after they have been outside for a few months initially. I leave the vents open all year round and don't tend to get any condensation. Seems to work well.
  13. That's where I got mine from. No problems. The axe is also much better than the other one's I have for splitting.
  14. Bought a Fiskars X27 for £46 last week hoping it's good. Not got around to trying it yet.
  15. Depends on whether they're covered and kept dry or open to the elements?
  16. Forgot to photo the label last time I was there.
  17. Just remember whatever programme you use the quality can never be better than the original recording.
  18. Made in PRC
  19. Also noticed these and also noticed they're made in China. Not sure where Husqvarna make their chainsaws at the moment?
  20. They appear to have gone?????
  21. Nobody puts that much gear up for sale with the same end dates. Reckon he'll transfer all the money and do a runner.
  22. Just how long does it take you to carve something like that? It's amazing.
  23. I'm not in the log business but use the site for the advice from the experts. Normally heat the house with gas central heating but always light the log burner when it's really cold. The boiler broke down last month and it was a week before a new one was fitted, log burner was going 24hrs all week. Mostly get my wood from friends getting rid of it, the local council at the country park etc. I like a lot of people actually enjoy cutting, splitting and seasoning it all. Probably have about 6 cube under storage.

    Chopping Block

UNUSUAL, should read useless. After ten minutes it'll be about a foot lower to the ground.
  25. I find any build up will disappear when the stoves fully hot. I only clean the glass when cold with a wet kitchen wipe.
