  1. Bastards! I hope you get them caught Jason.
  2. It's just a red wine kit from Wilkos. Something to get me started. My mate makes loads out of fruit. His Strawberry wine takes like pop but has a dangerous 14% kick!
  3. Bread and butter for the bairns but this is for me! First attempt at this too.
  4. Asked the kids what they wanted for breakfast this morning. Bread and butter please. That's a pretty good feeling.
  5. Well I asked wife to pick me some up on her way home and she brought this But it was a bit too thick. Had to add a little water just so it broke up and sloshed about. But anything works. Last time I tried it as a boy I just took the top off all the bottles of milk. Had to wait until a Friday so there was enough on the doorstep! Me mam went mental haha.
  6. Whoa there!! I'm on day one, week one haha.
  7. There's some soda bread to try on one of the pages between now and the Brioche page.
  8. Yeah my dad used to have one and he'd just set it away and a couple hours later a lush hot loaf came out. More fun to be up to your elbows in dough when you're 7 (and 39) though.
  9. Well first of all you find a cow...... Haha. No, its so simple. Some thick cream in a jam jar and shake like mad. It solidifies first and then you keep shaking. The buttermilk separates off and the lump that's left is butter! Wash it under cold water and squish it about to get rid of the rest of the buttermilk then mix in a bit of salt and that's it....spread it on your bread. Takes less than ten mins.
  10. Homemade butter too!
  11. Haha yeah that's what I thought. What a load of bull!
  12. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-503756/Pair-spared-jail-catching-teenage-intruder-dangling-forklift-truck.html
  13. Two guys (one was the boss) at a place I used to work caught a guy who'd broken into the yard. They strung him up on a forklift. Because they'd had time to think about what they were going to do they got into pretty big trouble for it.
  14. Page 2 is Aga bread and we are missing the main ingredient. So she says we are going straight to page 35.....Brioche!
  15. School Holidays. Day one. The bairn and me made some bread. Page one in the bakery book we found on the shelf. Made a right bloody mess with flour and stuff all over the place but it turned out OK and not just edible...it was very tasty. And we've cleaned up before wife arrives home. Bonus! Wonder if we dare look at page two.
  16. Swan and cygnets! It's that still a sam smiths place? Wobbled out of there plenty of times in the past!
  17. Bishop Auckland mate. And I've got this digging to look forward to all weekend in this heat. [emoji91]
  18. You're not wrong. I'll be hunting shade all day. If you look real close in the black circle you can see the cathedral about 15 mile away.
  19. Well who would have thought a thread could get duplicated in all the years the forum has been running.
  20. Haha I've been censored!!
  21. Waaaa that's brilliant. I was once in the Tarmac plant and a ***** was under the hopper with his transit and the operator must have dumped 5 tonne on him. The thing was about touching the floor. They had to scrape it off and start again.
  22. Instead of hijacking the oak sleeper thread I thought I'd start my own. I'm after treated brown softwood sleepers 2400x200x100 77 of them. Can anyone give me a price for those including vat. I'd need delivery but I'll pm the address. Thanks
  23. What's grey, howls at the moon and is made out of concrete? A Wolf. I threw the concrete in to make it hard!
  24. Ha that is one of my all time favourites
  25. The boy came home from school... Dad...why did the monkey fall out of the tree? Dunno son why? Cos it was dead!
