  1. I'd have taken more off Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. always figured semi chisel blunts at the same rate as fukk chisel, but the fact that semi chisel is shite to begin with means you don't notice Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. too cheap, you're devaluing the industry. £22,500 minimum. When you've got your tickets tout should be in the higher tax bracket. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. No **** Sherlock Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. try the"bring Sally up" challenge. If you're a masochist. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. Are you an employer or a employee Marc? Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. Are you that bad!? Happy to do it but would have to add fuel and travel on top. Drop me a pm if you need me Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. I can help you out if needed, but it a bit of a trek. It'll be cheaper to get someone more local if possible Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. try as I might I always plateau at about 2.30 on that. Much much harder than it looks. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. the setup you mention will work well, and be very versatile. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  11. it's only fair to mention that you offer "other services" as well as climbing, which is why some of your clients will pay the extra. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  12. If that's taking anywhere over a minute you're simply not concentrating Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  13. I'm a chain smoking fast-food eating lager swilling walking timebomb who hasn't seen the inside of a gym for a decade, and planking for 2 minutes is pretty easy. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  14. Personally no, I'm not currently short of work so charging a lower rate doesn't make sense for me. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. Fair point, being able to claim back vehicle costs is a big plus. Clothing should be provided and you can claim back the cost off washing uniform if you're PAYE though. Mind you I've only been SE for five minutes! Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  16. Is an employed persons wage not purely profit? Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  17. I was under the impression that we all paid the same tax, 20%. Of course a SE person can claim back work related expenses, which wouldn't be incurred as PAYE. Unless you mean NI contributions being lower. As I understand out that's to cover lack of SSP etc Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  18. I don't see why though. Provided everyone pays their dues and both sides are happy with the arrangement. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  19. I get that it can be a one sided arrangement for the employer a lot off the time, but it not always the case. If I were to work for one company full time I'd still rather do it on a self employed basis. A lot of climbers supply their own kit, and I imagine would prefer being able to claim their expenses back, set their own day rate, and effectively be in control of their time instead of the perks of employment like paid holiday, ppe etc. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  20. Or not declaring some of it Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  21. Are you for real? I bet you're a joy to work with! For somebody who's been using a saw for perhaps a week, the gob looks fine. But perhaps you're right, they've wasted a square foot of softwood. They should be skinned in front of their families. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  22. That is deceptive... makes you look thin! Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. 1-1.5m reduction in the pouring rain. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. I climb mostly so go from a 201 to a 441 with 20" bar. I've got a 60cc saw on a 15" bar for ground work but really its too heavy to be using all day. If I had to have one everyday saw for ground work it'd be a 50cc Husky with a15" bar Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. How come? Looks like a straightforward fell. Sent from my SM-G930F using Arbtalk mobile app
