  1. Swing cheek should be fine. Isc make a 70kn one, which should be good for negative rigging 350kg pieces. I'd forget the tape sling though, I've seen them break far too easy. A dead eye or old bit of climbing line would be more appropriate.
  2. So it's not best practice that needs revising, but employee's disregard for it. Typical bureaucratic bullshit.
  3. Was referring to multiple posts mate.
  4. I think I've seen that before
  5. Surely he didn't need to dismantle it so many times!
  6. I'd be all over it if not for the fact that the 160 was significantly lower on power than the petrol equivalent. So much less to go wrong with a battery motor. It looks like they're making improvements all the time so ill be watching this space.
  7. I'd the question to them in August, do you think it'll make me sound a total berk?
  8. No Steve, its all marketing. They've simply changed a £10 part to make the saw slower...
  9. Good for him, genuinely. Its a fair point though. It'd be more interesting to hear from the lad himself, no offense meant.
  10. Far too big to get out... It must have got in there when it was small, and got fat off of the wood pulp/chain oil mix inside
  11. I think the problem here is that you don't seem to accept that you were mistaken not to have text your client with a price for the second tree. A few seconds would have removed any dispute.
  12. Wether the client is a prick or not is irrelevant. What's the bloke got to go to court with? Any photos to allow the trees were similar size? Just got two stumps in his garden. No price was discussed or anything. I wouldn't waste my time and take my chances in court. Just put him on the blacklist and learn.
  13. I definitely had him down as a spaniel! That'd no insult Stefan. I'm very guilty of putting work before relationships. Perhaps not in the same sense as you, but I've put certain things on hold until I'm in a better situation financially. That's what I tell myself at least, but I've made my partner feel like second fiddle to work before. It's a difficult line.
  14. Yup, if its literally five minutes than no worries, the good will is worth more than seeming like a mercenary. Anything that impacts further productivity is worth something. Depending on who I'm working for ill either quote the work or ring the office. It all reflects on you as a stubby with how much money you bring to the company.
  15. well I've met you once, so I'm dancing with irony here... But thankfully, rarely.
  16. You think? You're fooling no-one mate
  17. I wonder if he's got enough self confidence to create a poll...
