  1. Valid point. I don't think the firearm system in the UK is perfect by any stretch, but to make concealable firearms available to anyone for the purpose of self defence is a steep downward spiral in my opinion. I'd love to be able to use a registered pistol for the purposes for target shooting mind.
  2. Alex, I like guns. I like pistols. If I lived in a place where handguns were commonly carried, I'd carry one to level the playing field. In the UK concealable handguns are essentially restricted to police, armed forces and certain RFDs. If you open that up to the public every knife crime becomes a gun crime. Can you tell me the last time a mass shooting was carried out in the UK with a handgun? I'm not aware of any since Dunblane, but i stand to be corrected.
  3. At least you have the option of a Bronco without importing one.
  4. Are you surprised at the laissez fair attitude from a man who's been using his personality as a contraceptive?
  5. If tying your laces is the toughest part of your day I recon you can live with that.
  6. I bought mine mainly for carrying 4 candidates and kit into the woods. Didn't fancy a double cab pick up. It's also got the benefit of all the 6 rear seats folding flat to make a bed for when i do the odd trip to the coast.
  7. That's right, mostly shogun running gear. Mines insured for business and personal use work my Mrs as second driver for just over £500 per year. There are a few companies that insure Jap imports. Nothing "grey market" about it to my knowledge. Mine was registered in the UK in 2018
  8. Locking centre diffs in both High or Low range. Thirsty motor though
  9. Sounds like you need a Delica!
  10. No it's not. Kram invented it.
  11. Look at a Volvo XC series. They have a few sizes. Lovely motors.
  12. We could've inflated a blimp with the breath we've wasted mate.
  13. Can't help but laugh. The OP is certain he can improve on industry standard kit, for less money, then complains when his own ideas aren't up to his standards.
  14. It is, if you're a rat
  15. You'd be fine with a decent springer for ratting. I got my Walther Rotex RM8 .177 with a decent scope, moderator, bipod and gun slip for £500 second hand. Took it down the range and it was easily outshooting my mates AirArms which cost double. If you want cheap night vision go for a red lamp. If you're prepared to spend more look for a decent used day/night optic.
  16. What rifle did you go for in the end? Have a look at the DNT Zulus. Lots of bang for your buck so to speak. Make sure you don't go for the 5x mag instead of the 3x by mistake. That's just an IR torch, you'd need the day/ night optic to go with it. Most newer day/night scopes have that built in which is fine for ratting distance.
  17. We'll digress as we like, until told otherwise by management, thanks!
  18. Gotta watch those industrious buggers
  19. Does that ring have a CE mark or EN number on the other side?
  20. Is that Bob of this parish, AspenArb? I've no idea, i think mines probably the short wheelbase or whatever is standard. Many parallels with the Shogun in terms of running gear and suspension. A few things that will need someone familiar with jap imports.
  21. bought myself a little 4x4 van/ people carrier. Ideal training vehicle/ camper for weekends down to the coast. She's a thirsty bitch.

    Loler

None with LOLER. Its out of my usual area, might be worth my while depending on how many kits etc.
  23. I remember the Malthusian prophecy from GCSE geography!
  24. As long as it wasn't black pudding.
  25. She had sausage last night.
