  1. You'd be pushing it with 30", IMO. 25" is the biggest it will happily run. You could perhaps pull a 30" skip chain, but really over 25" is 660 territory. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Really!? Isn't he all old and stuff? I thought people put on weight with age! (That post might come round and bite me when I'm about 30!) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Okay, challenge. My gross weight including Arbortec strides = 10 stone. Dare to post yours Mark? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Got my pair after work today. I'll be reviewing them soon and then again once they've been thoroughly worn in! First impressions are of a real quality pair of strides. I got Cs, and I usually wear As, but they are so fantastically light the only difference I notice is I can feel the extra padding round the back. Mine are quite snug. Perhaps I was optimistic with my waist size, but I really like a closer fit (skinny jeans were in when I used to follow fashion). Well stitched crotch, always a plus, and more pockets than I'll know what to do with! I just hope they don't fill up with sawdust! The boot lace hook will come in handy on dismantles too. So far they seem to be great fitting, light, cool for saw pants, and they look the mutts nuts! Well worth the money. Keep your eyes peeled for my review, we'll see if they last the test of time! 5. I'll wear mine just for you mate. Unfortunately my special order arseless ones won't have arrived yet. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Wasn't Husqnarna one of the deadly sins? Btw I'm just about to buy my first orange saw. I'll call it Envy. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Oh, and I've just lost my chuffing pantin. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. What exercises to you find counter the repetitive strain of rope work? I've been climbing on blaze for a while and my left elbow really feels it. Hyper extension from martial arts pad work exacerbates it too Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Cheers Ed, I'll make some room in it and pm you after work Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. 40k!? I'm sick and tired of these paddies with their ladders coming in and undercutting "real" tree surgeons. It's people like you Mark that mean I can't quote competitively! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Or I have an 038av Super I'm looking to sell, if you need a replacement saw I'll knock 100 off the price for your saw Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. I'm looking for a non runner, and can offer you £100 for it, if you're interested? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Act your age... Oh wait, maybe you are Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Yup, you're allowing the gasses to escape easier, hence cooler. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Mine wasn't. But are you willing to bet a lean seize on your logic? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Good man. No need to go messing about with the flywheel key or carb limiter! Just check the plug colour after the first few uses. Mine didn't need adjusting but it's good to be safe! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I'm trying to upload a vid of a Chilean pine deadwood I did earlier this year. Bear with me, it might be ready this time tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. It would appear that NZ has a better sport climbing culture than here. Is the industry as saturated and the wages as tight over there? FWIW I'll be attending a comp next year, don't know which one, probably the 3atc, since I actually heard about that one. But it's because of this thread, so we'll done. 19. Thanks for taking the time to post the link, I couldn't be bothered on a Saturday evening. For me it perked it up enough not to warrant faffing about with the limiter or flywheel key. The effects I found were snappier pick up, and the engine breathed easier so there was far less bogging down in full bar length. These new engines are quite heavily retarded, which increases longevity, since the saw is never able to work as hard as it potentially can. The muff mod just helps the saw realise a bit more of its potential. If you time the two vids the difference is fairly significant, considering its 2 mins with a drill. My kind of engineering! 20. I put a couple of clips up on YouTube showing the difference between my stock 201t and then once I'd opened the muffler (2x6mm holes). I'll try and find them. Edit: just search my name in YouTube. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. I have a kershaw carabiner knife on my personal harness, and at work I carry a 3 1/2" folding Swiss army single blade in my pocket Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
