  7. Hi all. I have a 2004 150 and had it from new and has been fab for a long time now. Recently however it has been dying off when chipping at full revs periodically. All levels are good etc. I have tightened up the ignition barrel as i thought possibly vibrations could be causing the switch off. Could it be the fuel cut off solenoid? It seems tobe intermittent and only at full revs. . . . . Any ideas/advice much appreciated. Thanks in advance, Andrew
  8. Hello all, I have a low houred (just turned 4000) ford 8210 that i am considering selling. She is a generation 3 tractor electronic draft control model air con etc. It has new front tyres and 50% rears. Dont want to get rid truth be told but cant keep it all and am interested in a moggie. If of interest let me know. Cheers, Andrew
  9. The grass often seems greener when that amount of stuff goes wrong. Don't give up on her Andrew
  10. Hi fella, Sorry to hear the news. Pleased to hear you're dusting yourself off and carrying on. All the best Andrew
  11. Oh my word! What a fantastic proposition im gonna get bidding before it gets snapped up!
  12. No chip for me, ceratinly got you talking again tho . . .
  13. Well said that man. May as well start a thread called who's carrying a chip? Never mind about others and trying to be judgmental on circumstances, wish everyone the best and get on with it. Andrew
  14. Hi, It cost me something ridiculous like 16+ the dreaded to get 2 tips and sharpen. If youre looking into mainly softies then i would say the hakki, palax type of thing suitable but if its hard wood you want to deal with then id go posche or bindi as the splitting gear and general build quality seems better. Of course it all comes with cost. If you've any sort of crap in the stack which is pretty much inevitable with firewood then a tct will put up with a hell of a lot more abuse than a chainsaw will and you may curse sharpening every 5 mins. 6 and two 3's really in the end. You pay your money and take a chance. Its all great in the right place with the right timber. Hope you find the right machine for your needs. Andrew
  15. Hi, Got any pics and what money are we talking? Cheers, Andrew
  16. Hi, I always find compression to be enough to tap them off. Cheers Andrew
  17. I run 2 circular saw units as they create less waste and hold an edge for longer. Maintenance wise the circular saws have less going on. I think that with circular saws you tend to be more limited as far as diameter goes. . . . Cheers, Andrew
  18. Im a bit of a landrover pervert and had the same issues. I have cured it by getting a l/rover series 2b forward control. 200tdi new, tipper conversion, its an absolute animal. She's been working hard for 3.5 years now and a great truck. I think the only way to get what you want is to build im afraid. Worth every penny spent once working and earning. Cheers, Andrew

Hi Chris, Great to hear you're enjoying it. Truth is that people change at height and some people just are not destined to be climbers (of which it doesnt sound as if you fall in to that catergory). Assessors are after an overall package, we dont expect to see polished and crisp performances (due to nerves etc) but do need to see a consistent acceptable standard that makes up the foundation of which you are to build upon during your consolidation in the work place. An assessors job is to make you feel at ease. Remember even the best candidate can do something silly so take your time, do what you have learned in training and you'll do just fine mate! Cheers, Andrew
  20. Evidently not. And as the signature would suggest yes i do.
  21. Hi Tom. . . . . .am i missing something?
  22. Fordson major! Bulletproof, built to last, will run all day on a couple of gallons, cheap parts and easy to fix. Powers and supers have better hydraulics a bit more power plus difflock. Once you've had good service from it you should hopefully be able to chop her in without loosing value and maybe buy something bigger with 4 wheel drive. Cheers, Andrew
  23. Hi, Just out of interest . . . . Do you ever have troubles with rodents nibbling nets? Cheers, Andrew
