  1. Hi all, I am looking for a motivated and hard working individual with an interest in forestry and timber. Applicants need to be able to hand cut to a good, productive standard and have some experience with agri-based forwarders, hold relevant qualifications and hold a full driving license. Position based in North Hampshire-Berkshire area. Please contact Andrew on 07748854549 or via [email protected] only.
  2. i have a nokka which isn't currently up for sale but will be in the coming weeks. if potentially interested give me a bell cheers, Andrew
  3. In the same sort of league as zetors etc. Not bad tractors and will do the job i think you may find that they dont hold re-sale values like some other tractors. if the price condidition and amount of horses is ok then a bit of guarding and bob's your uncle. cheers, Andrew
  4. i may have a nokka 400 coming up for sale. . . . . wont be making my mind up on it till early-ish next year. cheers andrew
  5. Its for flexibility stu. . . I intend running 2 units. Irrespective of the county's grunt it has to have a trailer behind it so id rather buy the right trailer for it once and id rather have more traction at my disposal than less. Cheers fof the other replies. . .i'll now get on and do some research. Andrew
  6. I currently run a botex with s drawbar and its an awesome bit of kit. What it lacks in speed it makes up for in lift capacity. Just finishing off a county roof mount and figure that i may as well put a driven trailer on from the off then i'll be best placed for the wet stuff and will have given myself as much of a helping hand for traction without chains. Cheers, Andrew
  7. Hi, Thanks for the advice there. I will have a look into the various units and see what seems reasonable. In the meantime if anyone knows anymore about the pro's and cons of the cage drive compared to hydraulic it'd be great to know. P.s its been on the cards for a while stu but i must admit getting stuck does highlight the need! Cheers again, Andrew
  8. Im looking into a driven timber trailer to go behind a tractor with roof mount. There are various manufacturers and different types of set up for drive. Im after some advice from some of you that own/have used. Whats good and whats not? Cheers in advance, Andrew
  9. Its worth it for the magazine alone. There are some interesting articles in it and helps keep you up to date (no pun intended with the health and safety course!) Cheers, Andrew
  10. Thanks very much for the advice there. It doesnt look like there is a huge amount to the machine apart from the electrics. I will let you fellas know how i get on with it. Thanks again, Andrew
  11. hi ive just picked up a nokka 400 processor and intend overhauling it before putting it to work. Does anyone have experience with overhauling and if so apart from the electrickery what did you do and where did you get parts from etc? cheers, Andrew
  12. Mcconnell benches are very good if you can find one. . . . .6-800 will find one in top nick. Cheers, Andrew
  13. (quote) interested parties pls contact me and you can view, measure and satisfy yourself on quality etc. I would expect this to be the norm prior to any order or sale. (quote) With the greatest of respect agrimog i have been selling logs for a good while and have 60 years from past generations in the family selling logs without issue or hinderence. I make it my business to try and help others and post relevant comments only and obviously this is not the case for others on the forum. Every effort has been made to emphasise the importance of viewing and contact to discuss prior to any order etc. Everyone needs there 2 pence worth tho i guess even they're not even interested in a purchase. . . .
  14. Husky are still using the full rev apply chain brake test where as stihl do not reccomend this anymore and opt for chain brake apllied rev fully for 2-3 seconds. The drop inertia is always good to see demo-ed but wouldnt recommend it particularly often. As for the tests i think you have to pick which is best for you. For myself id rather do the full rev test as that is similar to replicating the real thing or as close to. Key thing is that you take the time to do check it regularly. Cheers, Andrew
  15. Would love to help you if you were closer . . .i have a posch 30 ton splitmaster which would see to that. . . Might be worth contacting wilsons, he may have contacts local to you with one or a wood cracker or even a lasco. Cheers, Andrew
  16. Looks pretty effective! If you do build one please remember to share the pics! Cheers, Andrew
  17. Dont think i did. . . Please wind your neck in. A tonne bag is a generic term so a layman has an opportunity to understand what he/she is looking to buy.Feel free to call me and discuss if you're particularly upset. Thanks, Andrew P.s cheers stu and herm
  18. Interested parties pls contact me and you can view, measure and satisfy yourself on quality etc. I would expect this to be the norm prior to any order or sale. Note: terms used are for a universal purpose to gauge size (tonne bag) and not meant to be to the nearest log or take into account airspace etc. Cheers, Andrew
  19. Bag size is 900x900x900. Thanks, Andrew
  20. Hi, I have for sale tonne bags of hard and softwood at various stages of seasoning. Ideal for nets and or woodburners etc. Bags can be supplied at cost £3.25. £30 + vat collected from hants/berks border near basingstoke. Cheers, Andrew
  21. I agree with the above as far as having a swivel seat. It can be done to any tractor should you want to. I would always want 4x4 as a pre requisite for any roof mount tractor. Seen fords, county's, internationals db's and the list goes on. Cant go far wrong with a valtra or a county. Cheers, Andrew
  22. Hi, Message for Nathan: can you please contact me ref these bags as i have managed to loose all trace of your contact details. Cheers, Andrew
