  1. Alright bob, but there's more going on with it tomorrow.
  2. LOL, The link spazzed out when I posted and it must have lost the pics. Trying again,
  3. Not finished yet but part of a bigger piece. Think I'll be doing more of these fine creatures:001_smile:
  4. Evening all, Although I've been carving for a fair few years I've only recently got my CS 30 Well now that I have I'd quite fancy putting myself out there so to speak at some of the carving shows. Does anyone know of a list of events for 2013 and how difficult it is to get a slot? Cheers, Si
  5. Had mine about 3wks and they're great so far. Mine are type C but are still pretty cool and comfy.
  6. Got sent this today, free tea and bacon butty on arrival sounds good if you can make it. https://mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com/attachment/?ui=2&ik=ad848614e4&view=att&th=13abc9dd2423488a&attid=0.1&disp=inline&safe=1&zw&saduie=AG9B_P9vxFjkV7Dmy9l3NThfrijL&sadet=1351796793260&sads=eE5k3tOy6zjKh686h42kp0VApu4
  7. I got mine a couple of weeks back to rescue two 36" chains after hitting some concrete inside a log. Had to take back about 3mm to get to chrome and they've come up lovely:thumbup1: I did it in stages mind, so I didn't over heat the chain.
  8. Did the old hag last night, then carved a pumpkin:laugh1: Only joking hun Got a wolf to do tonight for the youngest.
  9. Thanks, Did it through Cumbria Woodlands, I'd certainly recommend them, both instructor and assessor were great:thumbup:
  10. Hi Kim, as above have said but over all very nice site. I'd suggest putting arbtalk on your links page:sneaky2:
  11. Forecast is bright and sunny Wish me luck guys.
  12. Captured a great flow with the weeds:thumbup1: Lovely stuff!
  13. Cheers everyone. No problem Kim, credit where credit's due.
  14. No but I'd really like to try one with a carving bar. Seems a bit pricey though IMO
  15. A Stihl 010av, probably from the 70's as it's the old style clutch. Trialing it with a carving bar, great little saw so far but the av is a bit pants, your hands really know you've worked hard all day !
  16. No shots in situ due to weather but here's some just oiled.
  17. Hi Barry, Been trying to PM you but you need to clear your messages mate. Really sorry I never got to the shop on Sat, I've been frantic getting a bench finished for today. I've left a phone message mate but yes all on for tomorrow. I'm hoping to get there for 10 I'll have cash for you mate. I still want the can if you've still got one, I might have time to pick one up on Friday. See you tomorrow, Si

  19. Cheers Rob, Roni, Credit to Kim off here though, saw her carp carving and thought I'd try some of that vegetation popping out the water. It's going to the school in the morning so i'll snap a few pics then.
  20. I'll try and get some clear shots of the underside for you:biggrin: Cheers James, about five days I think, I'd planned on three:001_rolleyes: but ran into a few problems blocking out. Namely a hidden concrete filled void:001_huh:, made a right mess of my chains:thumbdown:
  21. Thanks Paul, Yes cut from a fat beech butt, there's a 3' off cut in the background of the first pic.
