  1. Hi guys a couple of weeks ago i saw an advert on here a bit like the loadhandler, but it was a custom made bed which sat inside the bed of the truck and tipped. i remembered it ' only took 10 mins with 2 lads' putting it together and you had to remove the tail gate to fit it. Does anyone remember or know what i going on about and know where to find it? Cheers
  2. when i left the military, i went off and did cp (close protection) back out in the dunes. I had a overseas account and as long as i was out of the country and only came back and spent less than 59/60 days in country all of my earnings was tax free, i just paided the min amount to cover myself in using the nhs. sure it was N.I but then again it was a while back
  3. tourniquet, at least 1/2 ffd's, quick clot, med knife or cutting tool a roll of zinc oxide tape couple of plasters and 1x eye wash. i carry the ffd quick clot tourniquetand tape in a small dry bag and have it in my left hand leg map pocket, that way everyone knows where it is the rest is packed in a pouch strapped on my harness.
  4. after reading all the comments, no 1 uses them, however wouldnt it affect insurance claims if something was to happen? also wouldnt hse pick it up of inspection. I agree with good work postion etc, but getting a little hot just for the added saftey surely should out weight it. Myself ive always wore type c's everyday on any job, in any weather. Sure i get hot but then you just take on more water and crack on.
  5. lol looks abit more than an hour old
  6. id be working for him when hes got the work. im already covered at my main place of work but not outside it. so its all new to me, and was wondering if there was such a thing as a ' pay as you climb' type insurance or if its just a standard year. Also any names of companies people have used and where happy with
  7. hes not questioning (maybe just the way i wrote it) as hes not been in this situation and is learning new things with the arb side bud, also 341 was for me to be cover at 5m Liability, also im only covered when i work for his company
  8. Hi guys, So my question is does anyone know if theres company that sells top up climbing insurance? or of a company that covers everything and is cheap? Why i ask is because i came across a landscape designer (company owner) and hes very intrested in myself climbing for him, as he has jobs which he would like doing. Ive phoned one company and recieved a quote of £341 for a years cover at £5m liabilty. Rich the owner would like more quotes as he wants to figger out if its all going to be worth the cover against the amount of times id be climbing compaired to the cost. Which comes to the next question.. would it be worth buying an echo top handle or stihl ms 201t. Ive already said to him that it all depense on the amount of work i would do for him and how much hes comfortable in spending. Any info would be great. Thanks

Safety, safety, safety. dont flap and before you leave the ground plan your route. go through each movement in your mind, talk to yourself, whatever makes you at ease. understand what the task is and fall back on the training given. less speed more haste
  10. Try a chem safe. A small lockable red box that holds2 1ltr bottles. We use them at work on our vehicles. Any bigger and at our yard are 2 safes that hold 80% spill I believe

  15. id call them both with a letter sent aswell bud. that way the crew will be found out and get it from both side. from what you have said that went on, the way our dept works it would go straight for investigation and more than likely a final written warning or loss of job. Sent it in bud, lately theres been too many arbs on the news, and far too many tarnishing our good hard working names
