    Pretty stupid advising a tree surgery company on a forum full of them, not really going to achieve any custom.

    I know a climber who's 60 this year just had a knee op but he's now back climbing. Never moans just cracks on, reducing a big beech tree in the rain he was up there all day and still comes down smiling!! He has no money and needs to take a loan out to pay his tax bill! He did own his own company but never felt comfortable charging decent money and always underprised jobs so is now a contract climber. So ye you can do it but I wouldn't fancy it.

    Yes confidence plays a part prised a job few weeks back, gave the customer a price and she replys how much! I explained the jobs not simple as it was over conservatory roof all needed lowering, so I said please go ahead a get another quote! Did the job last week. She never got another quote, if she did I could of quite easily of lost it.but by being confident and saying get another quote it reassured her that she was getting a good price.

    Cool pics steve, what age did you start climbing? As you look pretty young in the last pic.

    I thought you were cheap at £320 a day for two guys, the other price is probably just some gardener can't see any tree surgeon running two guys truck and chipper for £200 if so they won't be about for long.

    Being Oak it will probably recover ok they cope quite well with heavy reductions.
