  1. Nice work james and Co is that the new stihl 201 electronic carb? seemed to be going well how do you rate it?
  2. You could just hire a bigger chipper in for the bigger jobs?
  3. It's the same here, new outfits popping up, with no idea how to price a job undercutting us, makes me worry a little about the future, but the work keeps coming in thankfully, and the pop up firms rarely last but they still take work while they do.
  4. Good plan, the hardest part is finding good staff to start with I find. You've certainly come a long way in a short time I remember your early videos and pics with a red hilux and timberwolf chipper.
  5. Do you climb much now Ian? Do you plan on taking a step back in the future and let the lads do the practical work and you do the paperwork quotes, surveys etc side? Or are you keen to stay with the action, I'm guessing stay with the action now you have the new toy.
  6. Are these Sections of Oak of interest to anyone? Located in Abergavenny South Wales can be carved, planked etc on site. One section 5ft 9" long by 3ft 9" and the other is 11 ft 8" long 3ft 6" at the one end and 2ft 4" at the other.
  7. Lovely set up you have, I'd love a mog but can't justify it.
  8. I think I have a pic of your mog my cousin sent me! he works as a sales rep for British gas so is all over the place and thought I'd appreciate it
  9. I stand corrected, seems step for only four poles
  10. Thanks Jim that makes sence I'll put it to the dealer and see what they say.
  11. Sorry Pete I won't as tempting as it is to have a fiddle. Spoke with the dealer today the fitters calling me tomorrow to discuss the matter.
  12. Thanks for the reply, I'll give it a try. Can you see what difference it would be connecting it directly to the battery rather than the starter?
  13. Hi Jim, It's cutting out the chipper diesel engine it re starts ok then cuts out once you start pulling in, both the postive and negative are attached to the starter motor!
  14. I will mention it to them before doing anything as I had to pay them to fit it.
  15. I think your rite Johny just been looking online, going to buy some extension cables and hook it up to the battery 👍
  16. I'd have to get some longer cables do you think that's the issue that it's wired to the starter? I was thinking it should be wired to the battery.
  17. Evening all, we've got a timberwolf 230vtr with a warrior S8000 winch connected direct to the starter motor was fitted from the dealer when we purchased the chipper, problem is when using it, it will cut the engine out even on full revs pulled two Sycamore 2 metre Lengths about 5 metres today fine, then cut out several time when tried pulling the next wasn't a heavy load??? Any ideas? Thanks Scott.
  18. I buy most parts online now so definitely a good idea.
  19. Just bought my second batch, Top work Steve and everyone who's donated prizes.
  20. I always wondered why you never set up your own company Reg! glad to hear you finally have, wish you all the best with it.
