Could I use a running bowline at theTIP point then attach a throwline to the knot and when I come down just pull the knot down the rope with the throwline?

Ah I've been reading it about seven wks now and I think I've picked up a fair bit. I just want to know what people would recommend as a good, possibly cheap start point?

Had a climb this morning on ashampstead common. Really big pine, gnarly thing. Good climb though I got a bit of flu so was sweating like a pig:)

g Went camping in savernake back in June, pitched under a massive beech tree. This dead beech was class, it's hard to see in the photo but there is a Douglas fir growing out the top of it. -

We worked on the 100 guinea tree recently in The Vyne NT property. Massive tree, lots of decay. They are planning to build a structure to hold the tree up if it fails as it is leaning over tge road.
