  4. My plan is to leave trailers and trucks on standard 7 pin and socket and add a remote switch on fog light as already mentioned by Bob.
  5. All i would do with them is throw them in the nearest BIN.
  6. Not changing everything want to keep it simple.
  7. Got it but you must mean put both tail lights in to same as only 1 brake wire. But i do not want to rewire all truck.
  8. 1 gypsy stick would of stopped them (maybe that's why there called that)
  9. Is what I am thinking but with a remote so everything can be water tight on trailer.
  10. They are what i have considered but were i live narrow roads and have to back up some times because as.h... drivers will not or the are lorries bigger then me so need something mounted have an idea if it works will let you all know.
  11. Not got a spare terminal in plug so how do you get power to lights.??
  12. Use that trick and hazards as well but still need a bit more light.
  13. I run older Ifor williams trailers finding it a pain backing them about in the dark how have people fitted lights to there's for reversing. Was thinking of just buying magnet lamp and just stick it on when needed.
  14. It can be a bit of a hassle take timber trailer on and off tractor spool block and pipes are heavy. Width of trailer is the biggest problem I had when I built mine do make it 7 ft 6 inches or 6 ft made 6 ft get in every where I have been and some gateways have been tight. So I would consider width.
  15. Some trailers have very short draw bar but can get around it by using pin tow bar pulled out to max length. Timber trailer is OK for long stuff but not for arb wood unless it's got solid floor.
  16. Reach of crane is the key, my crane is a Farma 4,6 linkage mount so always carry a 3 meter sling for the odd bit I can not reach, but it trailer mount most of the time now. Have you considered linkage mounted and use the trailer you've got.
  17. If I'm read it right it was stolen 20 months ago so they will be lucky to find it.
  18. The height maybe your biggest problem if can't support them above balance they will split off, long handled fork to support top and lower gently.
  19. If they are cut with flail what a job with all them stems.
  20. Apologies you were tort the right way. Roads near me have been resurfaced with some horrible granite stone that cuts tyres. What make of tyre you running.
  21. Lazy driving turning steering wheel will stationary rather then when moving cuts tyres up.
  22. Called in on a mate this morning and his just got a MSA 200C chain looked very fine you would have to be good to sharpen it with no gauge. Did some work for a farmer a couple of years ago he had a Still battery saw I looked the just pick it up and go, good saw to have at back of chipper to re_sned the odd bit.
