  1. They are on the Riko website with prices.
  2. Agreed. That would all help a lot. We still need to swallow the bitter pill though that we cannot carry on living the lifestyles we do indefinitely.
  3. Good point, well made. And to extrapolate that argument, cutting services and borrowing more are both un-sustainable leaving one viable ( all be it unpopular) option.
  4. Don't get me wrong, I would never dream of voting conservative. I just don't agree with the 'nasty' tag. The major parties are all misguided in my opinion but I don't believe they set out to be intrinsically bad.
  5. I would need to see David Cameron's response. Thatcher was quite a long time ago.
  6. Good man! I find most of what I say completely unintelligible😊
  7. Not quite what I meant, but I'm very happy for you all the same.😊
  8. Consider it a good opportunity to brush up on your language skills.
  9. I don't buy all that Tory 'nasty party' stuff. I think they have done a half decent job. That being said, I would like to see someone other than Labour have a go just to see what happens. UKIP ?? Enough said.
  10. You obviously don't wear chainsaw trousers in the summer Bob! If you do you think about little else😰
  11. Any significant quantity of wood felled in Britain has to be under a felling license. These are there, in theory, to protect the Woodland resource. Does the GiB standard have to be overly robust? I would argue that any timber felled in the UK under license should qualify for the GiB stamp.
  12. Greens for me. Predicted chance of any party unseating the conservatives in Central Suffolk- less than1%!
  13. Not necessarily. Winning 20 elections would just mean that no opposition party was offering anything better. There will always be debate and change, although I would argue that changing for changing's sake is not always a good idea. I am not suggesting changing the political system in any way, just hypothesizing that if a 20 term stint did occur, it would suggest a relatively stable society a content electorate.
  14. Not sure I understand where you're coming from. There's nothing un-democratic about a party winning 20 elections in a row. As long as the elections are fair and open to everyone.
  15. Not sure that the Zimbabwean elections could really be described as free and fair!
  16. Right as in correct, not as opposed to left!
  17. I'm not saying they should be given 20 terms, just that if it did occur it would be a sign that the majority of the democratically voting population were content.
  18. I was thinking more like 10 or 20 terms. It would only occur if the public were genuinely happy.
  19. It would still be democratic. Elections every 4 years, but if one party was doing a particularly decent job they would stay in. A bit simplistic I know, but there's got to be some logic in there somewhere?
  20. If one of the two main parties was truly better than the other wouldn't we have a stable government for 50 years or more. The fact that we flit between the two every 8 years or so says a lot about them and the 'grass is always greener'/ this party will make me wealthier mentality of us voters. It's not going to happen for some time, but I would like to see one of the smaller parties have a go. Preferably one with a long term vision and less fixation on financial prosperity. I guess this makes me a Green as I'd rather chip my own testicles than vote UKIP!
  21. Shrewd move I'd say. We're having much more fun in the Red Oak camp! Got silly string and everything:thumbup:
