  6. i viewed my plate as a way of getting noticed and a bit of novelty fun a waste of cash ? i think its worth a good bit more than what we payed for it 10 years ago but hey we all have a opinion on things:thumbup:
  7. fair play to you for putting pictures up its not easy to admit mistakes i have done some dozy things when i think about it , but also how many decisions do we make on a average day at work ? so maybe its only a question of time or luck before we make errors of judgement . good luck to you and heal well ! use your enforced lay off to good effect .
  8. we have L1 LOG on our 7.5 ton leyland daf had it on our transit tipper before that does help get you noticed !
  9. hello all i have been thinking about loads trailer , dumpy bag , builders bag , netts, van load ,they are all different and i bet no too loads are the same so very difficult to compare people dont realise , thats without moisture content , hard wood , softwood sort that lot out ! happy crimbo to all

    ye workshop has all equipment and are good lads spoke to main agents for daf in north west and they have had similar incidents and they cant explain will try adjustment and retest fingers crossed !

    good evening all went to test station today for annual test on our 7,5 ton leyland daf all was going well until very last part of test passed until then , the parking brake reached 11% 12% is a pass so test man says hard luck you failed by 1% so i asked could he give it another go ok 9% ? so i say how come the difference shrug of shoulders dont know so not happy now ask for a complaint form , they couldnt find one we test brakes again 6% whats going on very annoyed by now if i appeal wagon cant be moved until a expert comes to inspect ! THE WAGON IS WELL MAINTAINED AND WE HAVE OPERATORS LICENSE garage where we take wagon equally frustrated have similar tales of test woe sorry rant over
  14. hi we have the petrol saw bench very pleased so far had it 18 months we got it with the honda engine oh and also the staff were very helpfull and effecient spot on and we would be happy to deal with them again:thumbup1:

  16. just wondering do you have a phrase you say to customers when delivering firewood i say something like 'look at these logs its a shame to burn them ' corny i know but i cant seem to help it bet you all reading this have your own phrases !!!!

  23. what difference does it make felling a tree two foot up or not in a tree surgery sense ? becouse you are probably going to cut up into manageable size s any way
