  1. Hope you have a speedy recovery pal..... Thanks for taking the time to post....saying that you have plenty of time so guess it was on your list of many things to do.... Take it easy mate..... Adam
  2. Was reading some of the reviews on the app page for the fungi app! And to be honest I was quite appalled by what people have been putting as a review, and I really hope they are not fellow arbtalkers because they should know by now what is going on with the app..... Do people not realise what it takes time and money wise to get an app up and running never mind keeping it up to date and dealing with problems like this? It makes me laugh really because when the app was running right! Compared to how many have been sold not many had wrote many good or bad reviews about it. but as soon as something goes wrong theres loads to moan about it...in my eyes that is just impatient and ridiculous...... Sorry about my little moan but just thought I would say my piece..... Woosaaaa woosaaaa .......take a deep breath and relax.....
  3. Wow what an achievement mate.... To learn a lesson the way you have dave is a horrid way! Being close to hypothermia is not nice, but it looks like what you have raised was well worth the small price in putting foot to ass and getting on with it.....having goals is a great way of building strength and determination to finish ...... Great stuff Dave....
  4. I shat my pants for him ...... Crazy stuff there Geoff....
  5. I know what your saying mate, and I may well get one and never look back, or I may just keep it for my own jobs and teach just the one perSon how to use it??? I don't know yet mate. Yeah nice one buddy will keep you informed on the dates....
  6. Yeah after waiting an hour to start..... No worries mate ....anytime.
  7. Got to admit James I'm tempted but I would spend half my time learning others how to use it, as a subby I can't see how it would benefit me....so I'll stick to me bollard..... And on a 3rd attempt at getting you to look james, go to my abc first aid course thread.
  8. Sorry I can't help you out Tom as I too are really busy.... But if you get stuck again mate just give us a bell.... As long as it don't involve me giving up my Saturday afternoon again.... Stay safe mate..
  9. Awesome stuff mate.... Is that a helicle hitch your using?
  10. Shut it mr 5000 ..... Oh look at me I've made 5000 posts.....yey! .... You make me sick.....
  11. So here we have my new lanyard I made up just for a change from the op..... We can see a couple of different set ups for use in normal, Ddrt, and used as a friction saver for the other end of your line or second rope....the microcender I used as demo as a retrievable method but I would normally have a small clip on the end of the lanyard for this but not had chance to put it on yet.... Just basically everything the ce lanyard can be..... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  12. Could not agree more mate, nice to see the small guys digging in amongst the big guns....
  13. Don't believe another video I can't watch.......
  14. I don't know about the way forward I've always used one.... This is why I also add the ring loop mate so it can be used as a small secondary anchor.... I'll get a couple of photos up of my beal regate one I have just made up.....
  15. Just been trying to find that picture of yours mate but can't remember what thread it was in? Come on show us again....
  16. The old porta wraps are good but rigging has moved on since the introduction of the bollard and stability is now leading the market, with what the new rc2001 costs you might as well spend that little bit more. I for one would never go back to a capstan or porta wrap......
  17. No worries mate, anytime:thumbup1: he does sound very knowledgable mate, still takes some balls bro... A lot of competition out there and some great ones at that.....
  18. Awesome testing video mate and nice little read.... Best of luck to him....it is hard and he has some balls:thumbup:
  19. Drew mate, your link does not work.....
  20. Hadders beat you to it mate but thank you for the offer kind sir....
  21. Either one would be ideal for most if not all jobs, depending how you work.... There is a 1000kg difference on SWL but your never gonna be anywhere near that as your rope will or should be your weakest link......and if you are lowering on the limit of either bollard...then you need your head testing.... My advice should be taken with a pinch of salt, if I had to make the choice given the small difference between the 2 the rc2001 for me.... Hope this helps... Adam
  22. Hahaha......... I was supposed to be going....here was me thinking it was next weekend.... Sorry Steve .......
  23. Just ordered my new lanyard...... 3m maybe 4m armor prus 10mm......with my petzl microcender and 2 DMM ultra o's Might add my ring loop on it so it makes it more versatile......
