  1. In my dreams I can only imagine ever producing a sculpture like this made by a bloke in the states company called knok on wood.think his name is jeffrouitto

Depends on the bowls you want to make,if you just cut the burrs off you will lose a lot of timber .try and take as much of the trunk off with it 6 months is nothing the wood will nowhere near be dry,but have a go at tutning a bowl while wet and lrt it find its own shape Any spare let me know Heres a pic of the last birch burr vessel i made
  3. Heres a couple of pics of pieces made from the timber Jonathan supplied me with first is an Elm burr bench Second is a beautifully grained Yew bench Superb timber !!!!
  4. Heres a pic of my latest bench made from Yew and Oak.Of course supplied by BigJ Beautifull swirly grain in the seat back
  5. A woodturners dream maybe but pieces of burr like that need to be used to show off the wood not a turners skill,and most turners would cut them into tiny pieces

  10. Hi What do you think this looks like I carved it as a snake but my missus reckons it looks more like a panther I know its not wood ( buffalo horn )but I figured it could still count Not quite finished yet

  17. Hi Ashem crafts sell them but for £ 84 with delivery as trapping planes I was hoping someone might have one to sell
  18. Hi Has anybody ever come across a trapping plane or know of one for sale Its used for making variable thickness spindles
