  1. Not with the big Donk of whipping it comes with 6” below the slaice . Won’t go through a Zig Zag , but then I like that as it means your rope can’t back feed out of your ZZ when changing over leaving you stranded like a ninny on your strop!!! Someone suggested that they thought the eye had internal reinforcement by way of a thin aramid/Kevlar type insert but it was kind of a ‘fat bloke down the pub told me’ type info data burst so I can’t corroborate it ??‍♂️
  2. Ok, but the leaves are opposite and not slightly staggered , and also very different in shape ? And your leaves have quite a lot less veins ?
  3. Pistacia has very slightly alternate pinnate leaves which your does not seem to have. Also it appears that your leaf picture shows a terminal leaf which Pistacia misses (Although it could be a radial leaf bent upwards) Pistacia has more pairs of leaves (over 10 pairs) That’s my thoughts anyhoobs
  4. Alas my last mouthful of wine is now strewn across the table Mick. Quality ?
  5. What's compression like after 3 mins? My money is on the coil like Could it be the spacing between the coil and the flywheel ? It starts lovely
  6. It’ll go at full tilt all full of promise for 3 mins and then blurrrrrrr, instant off and then won’t start .
  7. I now have a third child Bill due to the unpredictable nature of a faulty coil so yes I can attest as to their less than infallible reliability !!! You suggest checking the spark plug ? I’m guessing if it’s the coil then the plug would be wet through ? I’m still awaiting the breather detail though as mentioned by the Spudmeister as it’s such a seemingly simple part I think I may be ignoring something else that may be staring me in the faeces . (That and breather checking is cheap, magneto purchasing slightly more expensive) [emoji857]
  8. Hiya Spudzo, yes I’ve checked the secret square but what exactly should I be checking for as nowt seems bust internally . No vacuuming/pressure from tank audible when the cap is released . I’d think if it was the magneto then it wouldn’t run perfectly for the 3 minutes would it ? [emoji848] Still baffled
  9. Hellllllllllllp. I’ve recently rebuilt one of my long since retired Stihl MS361’s out of old bits (due to some delightful individuals stealing all my saws last year) It fires up a dream, sounds right, runs and cuts like a beauty.......for about 3-5 minutes and then it dies. It’s almost as if it’s flooding mid use. Its not the tuning and I’ve replaced the carb for another one (old one) but it still does exactly the same thing. I’ve put a new diaphragm kit in and carb cleaned the living be-Jesus out of it but it still dies after a few glorious confidence teasing minutes . Any clues chaps and chappettes as I’m flummoxed on this one ?
  10. Just settling in then !! Mine went to 19 and then still wouldn’t hand in his badge . My mate famously said that he was only staying alive to piss me off !! Excellent dogs, just watch her around vehicles , my hearts still broken from a tragic mishap . They’re so astute until it comes to cars aren’t they ? My last fell (feeling the cold at his age slightly ) at 15
  11. Ahh VespANUS , the self proclaimed profit rears his puerile thumbs once again to set among the innocents about their posts, to desperately seek acclaim for his disengaged nonsensical comments that briefly , just ever so briefly , make him stand slightly taller in the virtual world than he finds himself actually amongst his peers in the real world . Let’s us all give sympathy for such a tool as is this man. Forever be his own inspiration , his victor, his inspiration .......but never ours . Praise be . VespANUS , perhaps consider macrame as a better use for those devil idled thumbs.
  12. The max load rating for a BF Goodrich mud terrain on a 245/17 is approx 1.5 tonne per tyre so across the axle that’s 3 tonne per axle. That should cope with most loading on a 3.5 tonner I’d think ?
  13. Checking the stats for old Froggies gob, he opens to 13mm, which given everything on the TM is below this except the main attchment ring, surely it would still work ?
  14. its the glory days Steve when we walked with a pep in our stride, knew all the names of the knots, the anodizers of gadgets couldn't keep up with our eager penchant to purchase anything that attached to a rope that was CNC'd out of billet, and putting boots on didn't involve holding ones breath and several grunts of discomfort.
  15. I don't suppose anyone has got any links to photos or the videos taken of the East of England Cutters and Climbers competition held in Norfolk 2006. I think Chalky from those parts organised it . It was sponsored by Treeworker Training amongst others. Any clues folks?
  16. Been running BFG mud terrains on a Landrover 130 tipper for over 15 years, had it way overs it’s limit off road and never had one ‘pop’ !!! They’re pretty bomb proof and will cope with most of the stuff you chuck at them even over 3.5 tonne .
  17. I’ve been hearing a lot of love for Coopers just lately. I’ve just ordered 2 mt Pros for the Landy to replace my BFG’s.
  18. I’ve forgotten to go to work !!!
  19. Oh arseburgers. And there was me thinking I’d found an answer . Could you modify the jaws Joe ?
  20. .....or you could use one of these on your saw lanyard with a bit of modification to the lanyard (or make up your own). It allows you to then have the option to hitch your saw to your side dees, your lower Dee’s , your main attachment point (for bigger saw alleviating weight ) , your nose ring or even your Prince Albert if you get really bored waiting for your Groundsmen to notice your ropes stuck etc Kong Frog Connector
  21. I think everyone of us who uses this type of saw hitch karabiner has at some point hitched more than their saw !! But at least with the DMM Vault Lock Gate you’ve got the option to prevent such occurrences if you’re rigging in an awkward/tight position......if you remember/can be arsed to lock it......which I think I’ve probably done once !!! ?
  22. I appreciate HOW it can be done, my question is more how many people have ACTUALLY done it ?
  23. Thank you all very much for your suggestions . It looks like Adrian Flux is clearly out in front. I shall ring them tomorrow . Thanks again [emoji1307]
