  1. Thanks for the reply I will to find a parts list
  2. Hi can anyone tell if the clutch in a fs 460 is the same as the fs 490, also is there any difference in power if I took out the spark arrestor on above saws? Thanks in advance.
  3. I have the fs 490 and 460, I prefer the 460 as it is just that bit lighter, between 6 and 8 hours a day with saw blade on it in the forest no problem
  4. I agree with above comment the cheap do not last, I use clearing saw all day and I find peltor good
  5. Fantastic, just shown it to my three children and the first thing they said was can he send one to Finland.
  6. All the best from Finland, take care.
  7. Dry birch bark is all people use over here
  8. What is the smallest size saw you can use on a small log alaskan.
  9. Hi jon at the moment the snow doesn't seem to be able to stay, It snows for a couple of days then it warms up again, this time 3 years ago there was over a metre of snow and minus 30
  10. I've just finished, fly to the UK tomorrow for a funeral back to Finland on sunday then chilling out with wife and kids, it all depends on how deep the snow is whether I carry on with clearing saw if its to deep I have work with snowmobile collecting some tree lengths for a customer.
  11. All I ever use is dried birch bark, works a treat
  12. Hi , the saw would not be used all the time as I also have ms 250 and 170 so looking for something with a bit more grunt for the bigger one's.
  13. Hi logan thanks for thr info, the 3 main type's of trees are birch, pine, spruce, then the rubbish alder, pop, as for the saw I think a 261 with a 16 inch will be fine because when working in the forests if its to big I can leave it, I don't do domestic
  14. Smart Locator i have just installed this on my phone, they use this in Scandinavia and had a 100 per cent success rate, as it is a problem over here with people getting lost in forest.
  15. Hi is it possible to buy the muffler that has had the modifications
  16. Sorry if I said something wrong if I did it was unintentional, as for locating a second hand saw it is difficult as people seem to keep hold of things until they die the second hand market is not the same as it is in the uk because people keep hold of things, me personally like (shiny new things)as for bar length it was a genuine question as in a previous message someone said 18 inch for 261 I asked what it was for a 362 so once again sorry if your offended.
  17. Moving on a bit what is the max bar a 362 can pull.
  18. O how I have tried to get a 260 over here rocking horse .... springs to mind, I used one at college and loved it.
