  1. An Amish woman and her daughter were riding in an old buggy one cold blustery day: The daughter said to her mother. "My hands are freezing cold." The mother replied. "Put them between your legs. Your body heat will warm them up." The daughter did and her hands warmed up. The next day the daughter was riding with her boy friend who said. "My hands are freezing cold." The girl replied. "Put them between my legs. The warmth of my body will warm them up." He did and warmed his hands. The following day the boyfriend was again in the buggy with the daughter. He said. "My nose is cold." The girl replied. "Put it between my legs. The warmth of my body will warm it up." He did and warmed his nose. The next day the boyfriend was again driving with the daughter and he said. "My penis is frozen solid." The following day the daughter was driving in the buggy with her mother, and she says to her mother. "Have you ever heard of a penis?" Slightly concerned the mother said. "Why, yes. Why do you ask?" The daughter replies. They make one hell of a mess when they defrost, don't they?" ?
  2. Plan is to never actually travel in bad enough light that head lights are required, it was more to act as marker lights and indicators, for T junctions and the like.
  3. I've got an old palax 600, think it's a 97. They're really good robust machines, and even if it does need work, they are very simple machines to work on. If you get 1 I'd recommend you remove the auto split trip and put it on a foot pedal or hand lever.
  4. If it is starved of air, opening a window should be sufficient to diagnose the problem. Have you taken the vermiculite bricks out to make sure nothing is blocking the passage of air from vents to flame? If after sweeping the chimney theres still little draw maybe a box cowl on the pot would help. Also check the top baffle plate if it has 1 is correctly fitted
  5. 30 cube in a day is a pretty good day. Was that with the Dunn?
  6. Thinking about transporting my processor on the front linkage so I can tow forestry trailer behind with log deck on. Wondering if anybody has seen magnetic marker lights with indicators, but with white lenses, so I can just stick them on the processor for transport. Had a quick look online, but I'm guessing theres not much call for them. Cheers- andy
  7. Surely it cant be run from a single phase motor? If it can it would be something I'd be very interested in.
  8. I got sent a hydraulic diagram and parts list with mine. I'll pop to the yard in next couple of days and see if it says anything.
  9. I would guess a company that produces webs and rollers for potato machinery would be your best bet. Weve used a company in thirsk called halls to recover dolman rollers for a potato lifter, they were steel bodies though , don't know if it makes a difference
  10. A lady about 8 months pregnant got on a bus. She noticed the man opposite her was smiling at her. She immediately moved to another seat. This time the smile turned into a grin, so she moved again. He seemed more amused. When on the fourth move, the man burst out laughing, she complained to the driver and he had the man arrested. The case came up in court. The Judge asked the man (about 20 years old) what he had to say for himself. The man replied... "Well your Honor, it was like this: When the lady got on the bus, I couldn't help but notice her condition. She sat under a sweets sign that said, "The Double Mint Twins are Coming" and I grinned. Then she moved and sat under a sign that said "Logan's Liniment will reduce the swelling", and I had to smile. Then she placed herself under a deodorant sign that said "William's Big Stick Did the Trick", and I could hardly contain myself. BUT, your Honor, when she moved for the fourth time and sat under the sign that said "Goodyear Rubber could have prevented this Accident".. ..I just lost it......."CASE DISMISSED!!"
  11. Yeah tink still got same number, but hes been isolating after getting back from Spain. Think he's free to roam after this weekend. Yields on wolds land havnt been to bad, but definitely no records broken, and don't think wheat will make milling grade.
  12. Your probably right Tom, am slowly getting used to it. If you want a free demo you can pop down to my yard and run it for a day! Hows harvest going? Weve got about 120a of a barley to finish off, so shouldn't be far away by sat night.
  13. Allow a bit of money for belly guards and branch bars, will be money well spent!
  14. Might be easier to send it all for chip, no customers coming to your yard or deliveries to make.
  15. I just cant get on with a posch 360. I bought a Dunn 420 from Wilson's a couple of months ago and they're still waiting on a hydraulic component from Italy, they very kindly sent me a 360 to play with while I wait for mine. I think I was maybe expecting it to be the best thing since peephole bra's but I really don't like it. It hates timber with any bends at all in it, and if you have to jiggle the log from the deck to the infeed you cant reach the joystick to send it along. The log clamp doesnt seem to have enough time to work before the blade starts moving so sometimes it starts to cut before the logs clamped. Don't think you can readily adjust feed speed of the blade for different timber. A lot of dust and chip is thrown back at the operator. A large proportion of logs bounce when they hit the splitting chamber, needing to be corrected. The outfeed doesnt slew ( maybe an option) When moving with a forklift it less balanced than a scotsman at hogmany. On the plus side it seems incredibly heavily built and if you have nice straight timber its fantastically quick. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh on a machine that I'm not fully up to speed with but I expected more for a machine that comes at a premium compared to others.
  16. If house is 1800s , best to stay away from gypsum boards and plaster and stick to breathable materials like lime render unless there is room to build a stoothing wall with membrane and air gap.
  17. Think it's an industrial wood burner that'll either take big orrible lumps of wood or long thin bits (billets) , bit like the old straw burners that farm used to have. Unlike the straw burners don't think you can fit a super single tyre in them!
  18. What about a billet boiler or similar warming a large buffer tank? No nothing about the suitability of above system, but supply a customer who is happy with this set up.
  19. Not sure where your based but I've used this company a few times Rubber4roofs.co.uk Elastoform uncured epdm tape is what weve used for bird and rodent damage to up stands.
  20. Flexibond tape especially for epdm roofs (if that's what it is) is readily available from most roofing supplies, you just clean, apply a primer and press into place with a roller
  21. Also think plastic fuel tanks if slung low are asking for trouble of not guarded
  22. Meant more for just been able to stop on the hill when traveling at about 2 mph. We solved it by dropping the winch at the rear or the front end loader as required.
  23. Another vote for zetor, I run a 94 plate 7245 for winching and it's almost perfect. Sure footed on slopes, good on fuel, parts are cheap, narrow enough for backing up rows, maintenance is DIY able Only bad point is brakes but probably addressed on newer models
  24. A salesman was traveling through the countryside, selling insect repellent: He came to a farmhouse and tried his pitch on the farmer. “Sir, my bug spray is so good you will never be bitten again, I guarantee it.” The farmer was dubious. “Young man, I’ll make you a proposition. I’ll tie you out in my cornfield buck naked, covered with that bug spray. If there is not a single bite on you come morning, I’ll buy a whole case from you.” The salesman was delighted. They went to the field and he stripped. The farmer sprayed him thoroughly with the bug spray and tied him to a stake. And back to the house went the farmer. The next morning, the farmer and his family trooped out to the cornfield. Sure enough, the salesman was there, hanging in his bonds, not a single bite on him. Yet he was a total wreck! Pale, ghastly, haggard and drawn, but not one bite on him. The farmer was perplexed. “Son.” He said, “Now, you don’t have a bite on you, but you look like hell! What the devil happened?” The salesman looked up through bloodshot eyes and croaked. “For crying out loud, Mister, doesn’t that calf have a Mother?”?
  25. Just had a quick look, and theres 4 for sale but all PTO. It's probably the best place for a wanted advert though. Wilson's are always a good place to ring and ask, don't just go off there stock on there website though as they sometimes have trade ins sat in the yard. ( I've just bought a Dunn off them that wasnt advertised.) Kilnworth and riko would be other places to get in touch with.
