1. Since I started using Aspen 2t about 8 years ago I have not had a single engine problem of any kind. (apart from a blown engine & Stihl wouldn't issue a warranty:thumb down:) The hedge cutters sit unused in the container from November to May then start without hesitation and run smoothly. Money well spent despite the fact is immorally taxed! Plus, we don't feel foul after standing in a cloud of exhaust gas all day.
 2. Your right Ben, it does work, it just doesn't work at all well. I tried it several times but the problems were obvious. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 3. LJ and RW is not a good combo. It can work but the LJ is designed specifically for DdRT. If you specifically want to use a RW, put a Hitch Climber under it. Otherwise, get a Hitch Hiker or Rope Runner because they designed for the purpose. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 4. I agree with you Mark but..... .......it's all in the editing. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.

Hi Clive

I have another tree trunk if you'd like it. I was going to deal with it myself but I now realise I don't have the time.

It's a Beech on the front boundary. About 3ft DBH. Straight with some character, i.e.: not smooth and boring. About 27ft tall.

I forgot to measure it and can get a photo tomorrow.

Obviously I don't expect anything for it, I just need it gone.

Thanks

 6. I'd like to know where they came from Eddie. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 7. Phone is still going like crazy here in sunny Surrey. Except it's raining. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 8. Where are you based? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 9. What he said. I looked into it too and came to the conclusion that a 13-18t tipping lorry would be better in every way. So I bought another Transit! Hahaha! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 10. Christ, I wish I'd never bothered. I'm not the middle man, just trying to help out a client. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 11. I'm terribly sorry old chap but if fires were allowed, I'm sure my client could deal with a match and newspaper! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 12. No fires allowed. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 13. I don't think there is a desperate hurry Bob. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 14. I didn't know that and assumed it would be fine cos others use a Positioner, I think. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 15. I guess no one has a mulcher and wants the job.??
 16. Apparently the pile is 18m long and 5-6m wide. I think you can see everything else. Anyone want the job?
 17. Trying to upload the photo. image1.JPG AArrggh! Client has emailed me two photos but I can't figure out how to put them on here. I'm using a Mac. I'm a tech A-hole!
 18. My client, against my advice, has created a big pile of brush, logs and root balls. It needs to be disposed of. There is an 8T excavator with a grab on site. Any method will do and there is access for any size of machinery. The site is in Woldingham in Surrey. I am waiting for a photo of the pile which I will post on here soon. Contact me here or call 07834 414271. Thanks Al.
 19. Oh, let's not derail the thread chaps. Yvette, my feeling on a fly zip is that it has two flaws: 1. Water that lands on the climbers lap whilst descending can more easily get through. 2. Any zip can break. I've bought water proofs in the past that are designed for fishermen, soldiers, police etc. They are fine for walking or standing but not quite right for Arb work. It's always better to spend the money on a designed for purpose product. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 20. I can't imagine Silky is any good at fencing. He's terrified of soil! I remembering him freaking out when he was with me! Hahaha! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 21. Does water get straight through the fly zip when you're descending? I'm thinking about when your hitch squeezes the water out your rope and it pours straight onto your crotch! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 22. Erm, I've been self employed for about 17 years. My post was a joke, by the way but thanks for the concern. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 23. Yes. Laski also build the Predator grinders. I've seen this chipper and had a good nose around and it seems very well thought out. There's also a thread on the Large Machinery Forum. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
 24. Me too. If it's all going well, I start worrying that something will go wrong. When the job is finished I start worrying that tomorrows job will be bigger than I remember. When I start driving home I start worrying that my wife will say I have not made enough money that day. When I'm going to bed, I worry that I won't get enough sleep! When I wake up, I worry that I have not had enough sleep!
 25. That's exactly what I want one day. Always have. What is the chip box capacity and price overall? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
