  1. Erm, I've been self employed for about 17 years. My post was a joke, by the way but thanks for the concern. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  2. Yes. Laski also build the Predator grinders. I've seen this chipper and had a good nose around and it seems very well thought out. There's also a thread on the Large Machinery Forum. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  3. Me too. If it's all going well, I start worrying that something will go wrong. When the job is finished I start worrying that tomorrows job will be bigger than I remember. When I start driving home I start worrying that my wife will say I have not made enough money that day. When I'm going to bed, I worry that I won't get enough sleep! When I wake up, I worry that I have not had enough sleep!
  4. That's exactly what I want one day. Always have. What is the chip box capacity and price overall? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  5. Don't have any pockets because they can leak. Reinforce the crotch, for obvious reasons. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  6. I don't care how many years experience and tickets they've got. Sure, it's relevant but they're either great or good or bad at the job and that is what dictates their monetary worth. IMO. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  7. I bought your jacket recently and have since been wishing that you made matching trousers. Bravo! Leg zips - Up to the bottom of the calf and on the outside of the leg. Waist fitting - Elasticated with belt loops. Allows options for both preferences. Hi Viz piping would be good. Make the cut articulated so, long around the butt and long around the knee. Colours - To match the jacket but more orange. (I would prefer less black on the jacket too). Price - I don't care. If it's good I'll buy it. Put me down for a pair. Or send me some for the development phase! Haha! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  8. That's probably about as robust as some of the 750kg chippers on the market! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  9. Six YEARS!! How very dare he. One should expect him to stay for sixty years to pay off the debt before he even thinks about a pay rise. Or perhaps you meant six months. 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  10. For an employer, £60pd is way too high. For you, it's way too low! I realise that doesn't help at all. 😄 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  11. Sounds identical to the one I've just had. He's gone now! 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  12. The tilt function sounds good. So which one do you have? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  13. So which one is good for keeping post height in check when fencing on a slope? All the laser levels I can find advertise that they find horizontal and vertical. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  14. So gas or water in a plastic pipe can not be detected. What then?! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  15. Brilliant machine, if it fits your requirements.
  16. Can a laser be used advantageously for fencing? I use string lines and my own eyes but just wondered if a laser can make things swifter and less hassle. It's for Featheredge fencing as that's all we do really. I was thinking not just for making a fence horizontal because often there is a slight slope on the garden so thought maybe the laser can help to follow the slope. Maybe I'm completely off the mark.
  17. What he asked. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  18. Apparently they can be bolted to the aluminium Geckos. I'd get one, if I didn't have two Pantins! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  19. I got a chain and two padlocks from Pragmassis. Seriously strong chain and my insurers gave me discount because of it.
  20. Iffy. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  21. Yes. Look at the SRT Forum. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  22. If you have an iffy back, I would suggest climbing on a single line so that you're using your big leg muscles rather than small back muscles. Options on hitch devices are Hitch Hiker, Rope Runner or OAR. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  23. Hi Tony. I did this with my Sidewinder about two years ago and can report that it has always worked well (& better) in this configuration. I put photos on my original thread but they were not as useful as your video. Good job.
  24. Where are you? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  25. If you would like to progress, have job security and are a nice person, I could offer full or part time work. The position is for a climber and/or groundsman and pay depends upon your abilities. PM me or call Al on 07834414271 Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
