  1. What happened to the future at Special Branch Paul?
  2. I don't enjoy tweaking stuff, I can't be bothered. Therefore, I never fiddle about. Except now I'm forced to because I couldn't find Armor Pruss. However, after a tantrum on the first day with this Sirius, I'm fine with it now.
  3. Calm down. Of course I don't, do you? It's a reasonable question to provoke information as to why a crane is needed. A crane for a 40' tree indicates to me that the site conditions must be difficult, therefore I'm interested.
  4. A crane for a 40' tree?!
  5. Not enjoying the Sirius too much on Cougar Blue. I've tied the Hitch Hiker VT knot and it is very smooth then binds up, then smooth. I've added a wrap, then another and no difference. I guess I'll try other knots before chucking it in the bin.
  6. Love it Rich. I wouldn't want to use it for DdRT as it feels skinny and hard in the hands but it's a dream in my Hitch Hiker compared to the old Poison Hivee.
  7. I agree Adam in terms of smoothness but I found 8mm Armor Pruss to last much longer. I've only tried the 10mm Beeline.
  8. I've seen photos of tree motions fitted with a Rock Exotica 'Rock n Roll' (I think it's called). Great idea.
  9. Yep, just seen that 20seconds ago. They don't call it HRC which is why I didn't see it last week. I am but a dumb tree climber! I'll see how this Sirius works out cos it's cheap and I got two pieces.
  10. Easiest tree ever to deal with. 1st: Make sure you're the climber and stay aloft until all the raking is done. 2nd: Make sure you're quote included removing all the timber. 3rd: Call Nepia and he'll come and take all the heavy timber away for you.
  11. You're not a real climber unless you're fighting like hell with stuff. (Waist belt tight and leg loops a bit loose here).
  12. Only you seem to know this Mark. What the hell is going on with you two?!
  13. I recently got a length of Cougar Blue to climb on. My Armor Pruss worked well but is now worn out and I couldn't find any more. I got some 8mm Sirius and used it today in the wet. For 2hrs it was perfect, then impossible when it was really wet. Then it dried out a bit and was good again. Anyway, I hear HRC is good but there are no UK retailers for it. Any thoughts on what works best with the HH on Cougar Blue? (I had some 6mm Liros a couple of years ago and that was sublime on Poison HiVee).
  14. Hahaha! My yoghurt nearly came out my nose! Brilliant!
  15. I love you Mark! How do you know BTW? We want the story and if there isn't one, just make one up Lol!!
  16. Oh yeah. Sorry, I thought you meant modding a Zillon. Stupid me.
  17. Right on Mark! Sign me up for one on each foot and two more incase the first two get wet/ dirty/scratched.
  18. Why do have to mod it first?
  19. Protos, is I've mentioned before. Once or twice.
  20. Yes but do you find it a fiddle with the catch every time Mark? I only climb SRWP so I use the Pantin for almost every ascent, even if it's a couple of metres. (Elbows hurt too much if I don't!) Thanks Al.
  21. New question for those that have been using the CT foot ascender: Is the lock feature on the CT an advantage so that your rope doesn't pop out or is it a hindrance getting the rope in and out all the time. I guess it's pros and cons to both but just wondered if there is a preference. Thanks.
  22. Has anyone been using a Zillon and how is it going with the Positioner?
  23. To be honest I think it's disgusting, the guy in the onesie has no place here!
  24. View at your peril:
