My hand spans 10 inches. My logs are 10 inches long. If you want a smaller log, find a man with smaller hands.

I use a log Jack. Very effective but I find I don't use it to cut as in the photo above very often. I tend to use it more just to roll a log after crosscutting. Crosscut, roll, crosscut then there's rounds to process on the splitter. A peavey bar would do it just as well.

Thanks Spud. I'm good at cleaning the saw and the air filter gets blown off. I mix my own fuel and confident it's correct. I'll get the guy to check adjustment. Thanks.

Aye. It's getting serviced this afternoon. Mobile dealer happened to be passing through this pm. I'll show him. Have changed from husqvana xp oil to stihl oil earlier this spring. Thanks.

My pension contribution is the only income I don't pay tax on. To put it in an ISA I'd pay income tax and NI on it first.

We're all charged tax on our pension pots if they grow by more than £40k a year (pot growth + what you've paid in that year). Then they tax your pension as income if you live long enough to get it at 67...or will it be 68 or 69.....
