  2. Ayyy but your be getting you pension next year
  3. I don't use saws everyday probably two days out of a week on average I've had a Stihl ms260 for 7 years just put a clutch in it. Ms200 for 6 years clutch and top handle replaced. 362 4/5 years not a thing 660/461 / not a thing needed on them all though I do think the oiler is pants on the 660. 201 our climber hates it and picks up the 200 so it's only on its second chain Had an early 560 and hated it could not start from cold used one the other day and it was a joy to use. I don't think new saws are that poorly made.
  4. All bow down to the mighty HSE God .
  5. I've had a pile of birch in the yard at the back it's been there over 12 months and had been sat at least 8 months in the wood it's dry as it's been sat under a load of ash. I've been meaning to get at it but more loads keep coming and I've had to keep stacking in front of it. Hope it's not to late.
  6. If you went in to the end of a stack of 10 inch cord how many pices would it grab. Getting a big log deck and ideally I need a 360 But am thinking log grab until I got the coin for a decent 360. What you give for it any more pics of it with no load in
  7. What grab is that johny looks the business
  8. A night i think may be a full week
  9. So your only interested in the responses that agree with what your suggesting with the amount of litigation Soliceters in this country is it really worth the risk of not using the correct equipment . If you have an accident the insurance company will nail you if they can so its your neck on the line and for what not even £100
  10. Mogs own the road so that that sorted:lol:
  11. Little wonder your not making much of an impact on here with your attitude. I think a lot of HS advisors need to have there ego massaged and caressed the ones that don't usually leave a lasting impression with there no nonsense approach. Its a serous subject but doesn't need ramming down your throat.
  12. What in hight are you a little person
  13. Some of the pot holes round here make it worse than a forestry track
  14. For the smaller outfits its 911:lol:
  15. Thats the bit that gets me because i THINK so no suggestion of evidence or reasoning. Most of the time its justifying his own job. My cousin has retrained and become a health and safety advisor after a nasty accident but he spent 30 years on the tools so can communicate what he wants quite clearly with out getting all high and mighty. He is now working for some of the biggest names in the construction industry and has changed more for the better than they have for the last 10 years just by bringing a common sense attitude. Something other advisors could learn a lot from
  16. Im amazed at some of the loads been suggested there accidents waiting to happen. If a log comes off a load and goes through a windscreen its not going to end well. To the person saying its got to be a dark night shame on you no wonder firewood merchants get a bad name. Believe me your insurance company would hang you out to dry and would only pay what you couldn't so would strip all assets both personal and business. Any bags going out of my yard are covered and loose loads are in a caged trailer never closer than 12 inchs to the top.
  17. One of us has read mr gits post wrong i believe its you!!!
  18. Dam thats a lot of water
  19. Spot on we need a LIKE button
  20. I thought I was the only one creeping round in the dark. Just need a go pro now
  21. I lived just down from chestnut grove and spent my childhood in Mortimer forest some stunning trees dotted around some hidden gems off the beaten track. There removing 68 hectors of softwood to take it back to parkland the way it was many years ago shame they went through two years ago and striped the mature oak. Fish pool valley is on the right as you go up the entrance drive it leads up to the Iron Age camp where you can see 7 counties on a clear day.
  22. Fair play that's stunning
