  2. Being helpful comes natural to me. Should have learnt my lesson by now. Sod em. Mr Blair you cannot be related to the other blair as your words are so true
  3. Yesterday my neighbours which i have helped in the past by showing him how to use a chainsaw proper at no cost and supplyed with logs and sticks decided to go to someone else who is twice as expesive as me. WHY do i stop being a nice guy and become a convicted drug dealer, double my prices and talk bull. Some people just do my head in

  7. Thanks guys but the work i will be doing will be on peoples back gardens not building sites. I dont see why i need it. The bloke we seem to be dealing with seems a bit anal i dont think its worth doing. If he so picky now whats going to happen when it comes to pay day.
  8. Thats the problem. The firm that got the contract have refused the risk assement we sent them twice but the same risk assement has been accepted by other firms for the same type of job with no questions. What is this CSCS card anyway another goverment way of getting more money out of you
  9. Been asked by a friend into landscaping to help with some tree work he may get from a contract he's doing for a housing group. They have asked that we get a CSCS card before we do any work for them. Question is why do i need one, and is it worth it.
  10. Just passed mot with a bit of welding. Bloke near me just sold a N reg on flea bay for over 1200 quid. Just a tipper no extras not even a working speedo
  11. I have a M reg transit tipper/arb truck. High ali sides and lid all made to fit and 2 steel storage boxes each side of the truck. 1 can be used for small storage (fuel cans, helmets etc) and the other for all your chainsaw, hedgecutters, loppers etc. I'm thinking of upgrading early next year and was thinking would it be worth selling the truck as is or could i get more selling the sides, top and boxes seperate. Any thoughts welcome
  12. Smells great on outdoor burners when still greenish. Splits and burns good
  13. you will find that ash always gets woodworm in the bark if stored for a long period. Split it and sell it any questions about dryness tell them it must be dry the woodworms are eating it
  14. You'll want them to think for themselfs next. I had problems with the police over the past 6 years and have a few police friends and i have never met a thicker bunch of people in my life (and i work in the farming industry as well). In fact i've just growen a large pumpkin that is more usefull than a copper
  15. I got 1 of them but mine is yellow with patches of rust its a 1999 single roller fed entec petrol 18hp kohler. They done a nice rebuild on it. good machine but a bit expensive at £4500 and still on its same engine
  16. If you dont sell it let it compost. Turn it over every month or so an it makes lovely compost in about 9 months no matter what it is and fully organic. The word ORGANIC sells it self. Been growing pumpkins on mine for the last 3 years just planted them and let them grow. 1st year biggest was 65kg, 2nd 75kg not weighed this years yet so the must be some goodness in it
  17. Been using mine for about a year now hidden in a hollowed out log. filmed a fox at night, the kids and got a video of someone checking out my place. Walked stright passed perfect video may put it on utube. Well worth the money good picture but get 2 memory cards 4 to 8 mb saves taking the camra with you

  20. Harvesting was going well for us. Dry osr and plenty of it. Not bad when its selling for £400+ a tonne. Then the Boss taken ill last monday and died that night. The fittest 62 year old you will meet and the best boss you could ever work for. Lifes a bitch. But harvest must continue. Day off tomorrow they recon 500+ coming to his funeral the church can only take about 50 at a squeeze hope it dont rain.
  21. David Musson fencing good quality fencing at a good price
  22. Did have one night while watching csi and the neighbours were on holiday. All was silent till we heard moaning coming from next door which got louder and louder and ended in some very loud slaps. (must have left a mark, she does have a big butt). We couldnt stop laughing. Hammering and drilling of a different type
  23. I'm glad someone else has noisy neighbours. If hes not drilling on our joining wall (the side of our house where our 2 sons sleep aged 4 and 1) shes up 3 times a day hovering(OCD i think). What makes me smile is that she as fat as a elephant, he aint much better and all the noisy work they do is on a house they dont own. and one letter to the right department could get them kicked out. The only problem with this is what idiot moves in next. just grin and bear it or give em the same treatment and get your son to bang on the wall for half an hour before he goes to bed
  24. When someone offers you a grand to split some logs you dont say no. You think about it for a short while. Did a bit more than they claim for that machine. could have done with a seat me legs were killing me
  25. Did 40m3 with a japa 700 2 years ago but there was 3 of us. started abont 8.30 finished about 6.00. Needed a good couple of pints after that
