  1. You could sell it at a premium as the ultimate long burning firewood
  2. Oh once or twice over the years I've had to put a van into fords to get it plugged in for software update. You tell them that is the only job you want done. When you pick it up they have gone over the entire vehicle, picking fault in everything that is slightly worn, and hand you an estimate for £1k for a load of work that doesn't need done
  3. Unless you're going to do all your own work, you need to find a good local independent garage, and build up a good relationship with them. The place I use I've been going to since I started driving, and my dad has been going to since I was a kid. Our family has probably bought their house!! I do some work myself, depends what the problem is, how busy I am, how busy the garage is etc! Never have a clue what anything costs, they do the work that is needed, and I get a bill in the post a month later. I trust them, they trust me
  4. A unique form of woodland management: Man stole '67 pieces of women's underwear' and then hung them on a tree METRO.CO.UK He reportedly told police that when he was drunk, he would help himself to underwear belonging to women, men, the elderly and even children.
  5. Must've been a good year for the moles (round here anyway). More mole hills than I can ever remember seeing, this winter/spring
  6. Have a look through the ebay completed listings, some sell, some don't

    Jokes???

I like your nail varnish! Lidl currently have branded shirts shorts trainers etc in stock, I assume it's ironic innit Lidl's sell-out clothing range is coming back, with branded gear from £1.99 METRO.CO.UK The German supermarket's fashion line flew off the shelves last time around.
  12. Hi Simon, as the technology director, do you know the links in you signature don't seem to work, and the Rotatech website won't let me proceed past this stage and place an order
  13. Look on the bright side, if you ever have any ladders/scaffold up to work on the flue, you could always get the slates fixed at the same time If you don't really need the heat from the stove, you could always have one of those electric effect fires

    Jokes???

I had high hopes for this guy, hi vis vest and ski googles
  15. Leave her out in the van on a frosty night, the next morning you go to turn her on and you get the flashing red light of "F*CK OFF I'M TOO COLD YOU C*NT WHAT DID YOU LEAVE ME OUT HERE FOR"
  16. Normally the "hook to drive" is fitted on the bottom (gate is pushing it in), and "hook to bolt" is fitted on the top (gate is pulling it out) You've had success anyway, but a 4ft crowbar and/or tapping it back and forth with a hammer will free it
  17. First question would be how high can it go without blocking the view (are you planning on trimming them?)
  18. Bench tips over, man dies, hotel fined £14k Highland hotel fined £14,000 over failings that led to death of American tourist WWW.ROSS-SHIREJOURNAL.CO.UK Patrick McGuire had been visiting Scotland with his wife Anne when tragedy struck.
  19. I'm out all year splitting wood, from summer heatwaves to winter blizzards, so it's running every week or two. Just looking now, sounds like sealed AGM batteries like on motorbikes would be more resistant to vibrations. I think it was a sealed battery the machine had to start with, the original mounting position was lost to a large hydraulic cooler.

Nice house for sale, have a look at the video Check out this 5 bedroom detached house for sale on Rightmove WWW.RIGHTMOVE.CO.UK 5 bedroom detached house for sale in The Laurels, Watling Street, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, LU7 for £700,000. Marketed by Just-Knock, Powered by Keller Williams...
  21. It's the tcp dumper converted to log splitter, has about as many original parts left as katie price! Good idea, I wouldn't have thought it would get hot, the grill behind is an air intake so it's pulling air past the battery not blowing warm on to it. I think I will need to make another battery mounting elsewhere, atleast to get it away from worst of the vibrations and warmth

    Jokes???

If you've got time to kill, there's a Lithuanian guy on youtube Shiey who seems to travel round eastern europe etc climbing on tall stuff and moving freight trains https://www.youtube.com/@shiey
  23. Yes oc95, only a small alternator, but the machine usually puts in a fair shift, often used for hours on end (at full revs). This yuasa battery has gone straight from fine to fooked, not like a normal flat battery
  24. It lives in a shed normally, but does occasionally have to work in inclement weather
