  1. did i win one of the Karabiners steve, lewis
  2. 25 in september
  3. my question too the original poster (perkins) is your main gripe, the fact that this is happening on moorland or the fact that it is happening on a shooting moor?! you say that you see moorland just as de-forested land however the same can be said for any other bit of land in the uk. i think you will find that moorland has a vast array of fauna and flora species. most of which you will find on moorland managed for shooting!
  4. you only had one!! i got there feeling drunk lol
  5. Hi has this position been filled, pm sent any way!
  6. you didnt waste any time in gettin the pics on here lol
  7. you will be fine mate just take your time, my tip would be to read through the bank of questions that they will ask. best of luck sure you'll pass
  8. are you resitting or taking cs30/31 for the first time?
  9. hartpury college, pershore college, holme lacy college, royal agri, where are you based?
  10. have you tried brightwells in herefordshire.
  11. i have no doubt that this product even though expensive would earn its keep in time saved and effort on a lot of jobs. i also know that squirrel has seen/used this product so is not just an uninformed comment, but will let him fight his own corner lol also it has to be said that this for what it is must be classed as a premium/professional product at £400, a lot more than a bog standard wheel barrow. so say you bought a brand new stihl/husky saw and the handle was floppy would you be impressed with the quality? As it has been said it may not be a structural weakness in the product but in the same time it aint great either is it!!
  12. when i did my 38 39 was told that 15 min was the cut off point however i timed the bloke who rescued me... 27min still passed him. after chatting with the trainer and acessor i said that the course wasnt hard enough and that there are too many people that gain these qulifications and think they are climbers! i was told that it is only ment to cover the basics and is ment to be a starting point to instill good working practice. how many people install a rescue line!
  13. would not class you too off been a gamekeeper in my books, just as i would class someone that works in safari park in the uk and call themselves gamekeepers. a gamekeeper breeds/maintains game (partridge, pheasant ,wildfowl, deer) in my book as im sure my friends would. i was a single handed keeper looking after 2000 acres, rearing 30,000 birds from day olds pheasant partridge and mallard. And would still class mymyself as a keeper. keepers don’t want to kill everything in sight. we plant game covers that befits vast amounts of other wildlife. we provide food for at some of the hardest times of the year. we maintain and improve habitats that not only benefit game but other wildlife too. all i have ever wanted was a balance. I could go on and on. maybe me reading your original post wrong but a poacher to me is a thief! so no im not a poacher. i think a better way to of but the poll would of been protectionist conservationist or something along those lines rant over sorry lewis
  14. alrite martin for mine i had to climb on a prussic or blakes show u could tie both and wasnt allowed to climb on a spliced eye either had to climb on bowline. there was a bloke that was used to climbing on ta vt but was told he had to climb on one off the above.
  15. when its your turn to perform the rescue show determination. your not going to have to perform a rescue out on the tips think its only 5m up and 3m out. also while you are climbing keep talking to the "casuality" and reasuring them. no need to get worked up over it as veg said the instructors are there to help. the NPTC's are only a starting point they dont expect you too be the worlds best climber. have fun and good luck
  16. if its the stuff im thinking off try any gamekeeping supplier by you, used to use it for making my release pens. the squares are around an inch and a half sorry if this isnt any use to you.
  17. give them a call if nothing gets sorted, then name and shame mate, not done enough both in this industry and also society i'd bring back the stocks if i had my way lol
  18. you can get padlocks that are alarmed, they are movement sensitive! the alarm mines are good too.
  19. screwie

did you fell it or were you just on the job?
  20. how anti social is your lab? when you get the puppy make sure its early in the day, let the two meet for the first time in a neautral location i.e. field, park not your house!! then take them both back. you dont want to protect the new pup by keeping him/her on your lap it needs to learn its place in the pack and if it gets told off by your other dog then so be it. will ask my mrs wot she thinks when she gets back from the vets (shes a gundog trainer, behaviourist) wot she thinks and wot ive missed!
  21. bloody hell shep you dont need bio chain oil to make you want to go to a cake shop or burger van
  22. only ever managed to get up there for a day was hard while i was keepering to get away from the rearing field for more than a day if at all!! never enough time to see everything, always bump into an old friends so loose half a day through catching up, will hopefully get to see abit more of it this year with more time, and have a proper go at the clays!
  23. sorry didnt make it had a job to go and do in leominster. will try too make the next one was abit windy up the wellintonia tho lol
  24. i will be there for at least 2 days!
