  1. All cars will have some sort of pull on the battery even when off - the alarm and clock for instance and that is why the battery terminals spark when you remove them. What you need to test is the nominal drain on the battery is not abnormally high and you would need this figure in Amps and then use an Ammeter. You could compare a similar model car to see if anything is untoward! Just had a quick look online and 0.03A (30ma) seems about right. If you are pulling substantially more, start pulling fuses and note which one stops this drain and then work out what the fuse does and go from there. Make sure your contacts are clean. The wife's Fiesta failed to start one day and it was just a corroded connector - a small clean, whack and retighten and she was away:thumbup:
  2. Thanks, you can get hold of me on the same mobile number or my work Gmail account as in my signature:thumbup: Looks like next week is rammed already and a big queue is forming:thumbup: I did see these T shirts and it made me laugh, perhaps I will borrow the idea for the company Ts.....
  3. They are being negotiated and produced as we speak - I will start with the normal serviced ones but may do some for the tuned/ported kit in time....give me a chance...the business cards are here though:thumbup:
  4. Ultrasonic cleaning can be good in some instances but is in no way a silver bullet on fixing carbs and making them all good again. It is worth fitting a new kit on carbs with hardened diaphragms and distorted pumping diaphragms but not so useful if these components are OK. Personally I leave the welch plug exactly where it is unless a rebuilt carb REALLY isn't working. I do re-seal the welch plug and also fit new accelerator pumps in the carbs I refurbish. I find this works well in most I have done and retains the low down pickup on the MS200 where just blanking of the circuit loses this! Most MS200 carb issues are accelerator pump issues followed by leaking welch plugs - the US cleaner does loosen them up so watch for this!
