  1. Yes, normally when plugged in for recharging.
  2. I could be talking b@@llocks, the wife says I do:001_rolleyes:but my compressor blew its capacitor on a 1.5HP motor. The capacitor is used in this case to spin the AC motor in one direction rather than sitting there vibrating. I changed it with a similar size one and it has been running fine for around three years with no ill effects! Not sure if your machine is a similar application!
  3. Another vote for the Motorola - I got a £70 Moto E, android and it does all I want a phone to do, camera isn't as good as an Iphone but you can get a good camera with the change from £600 minus £70!! The battery does 2.5 days which is more then my old Iphone 6! Personally I don't get the Apple phenomena, sure their products are desirable and work well but at a massive cost compared to other mainstream products. Android is a pretty slick affair now and works well in my meagre opinion.
  4. Was out towards East Anglia today and had the works, floods, lightening, thunder and torrential rain - not a fun journey:thumbdown:

    Stihl 020AVT

  6. The breathers on most stihls are one way and let air in but don't let air out and generally has the effect of keeping positive pressure in the fuel tank meaning that it is easier to start. If the breather isn't working this way, you will have to pump the fuel up and 10 pulls sounds about right. The other suggestion is that the low screw is set a bit lean and it needs a certain amount of fuel to get in to the engine to fire. Apart from that, make sure the choke seals 100% when engaged and the fast idle does cock the throttle valve open sufficiently - normally it would be enough to produce around 1/4 throttle speed when starting and would equate to 4-5000rpm.
  7. Often issues only show up when new saws are put in to daily use of climbers who are damn hard on their kit. Most of the Husky faults were these type of faults rather than standard running issue ones where I would have less sympathy.
  8. Most of the AV issues were the tie straps wearing through, usually the lower front one and the cracking of the grey plastic carriage that fits round the cylinder, this has been addressed with a new spring and carriage and was usually caused by dropping the saw on the strop!
  9. I think that drum is just past it's wear limit....good luck with your quest.
  10. Pop the gauze filter out, put a bit of fuel pipe around the end of your airline, wind the compressor up and blast the little fecker out:thumbup: Something has to give!
  11. Try this link - Model Profile: 380CD
  12. Looks like it has cracked on the underside so the handle has been hit from the top or dropped on its top:sneaky2:
  13. And believe me, Matt is hard on his kit having worked on it for a fair time!
  14. Not being funny but the first 201s could barely spin the chain when the throttle was engaged and all the manufacturer could say was that they were OK.....until the American tuners gave Stihl the inspiration to fix the issues! Just saying....and am not starting yet another argument that has no end:001_tongue:
  15. The warranty will normally cover faulty manufacturer or faulty materials/parts/workmanship. If the saw has failed through normal use then it will be replaced or repaired. If the saw has had a direct hit by a branch or been swiped against something solid then it is not down to the manufacturer. If it was a car - an exhaust falling off through normal use is a warranty return but hitting a kerb that rips it off isn't.........talk to your dealer and see what he says!
  16. Just looked at one I have in ready to go out and would say that with that damage, the saw has had a heavy impact on the top of the handle around where the throttle lock is.....just going on what I see! This isn't what I have seen on any of the 540Ts I have in. In fact, most damage is caused when the nylon tie straps shear and the AV mounts are stretched excessively.
  17. And you are now an expert with a damn good idea of what a good one looks like:thumbup:
  18. You either send them to a PC/tablet by hardwire or email or think you can use the icons above the box you write your reply in and locate the images on the phone. I would do what ADW said and also talk to the dealer and ask for a resolution. Doesn't sound unfair to me!
  19. Checked all the saws numbers against my database with no matches!
  20. And Yes, it is riveted in place......or at least, it should be.....German engineering at its best:sneaky2:
  21. Looked at the IPL and there is a pump with a gear that runs off the worm drive and cant see how that picks up the oil. It looks like it isn't connected to the pickup pipe that looks like it feeds the manual pump. Others will know more about these machines than I as I haven't stripped on to date. I would pull the pump with the gear shaft part code 1111 007 1023 and see if any oil has gone through it.
  22. Back from a week away and got a HS81 in that is like a boomerang to me, bogging and farting away but not revving out, like an old friend:001_rolleyes: 346XP in for porting, just done the owners MS200, MS201(rear handle) and 372XP.....it is infectious Also got a raft of MS200Ts on their way and a 262XP plus a Dolly 6100 for porting.....business is tough:sneaky2:
  23. Not got much experience on 075 oilers but....... 1) Check the bar oiler hole is free 2) flush the tank out with fuel and make sure there is no bio oil gloop at the bottom. 3)Extract the oil pickup pipe and filter and make sure it is free flowing and the filter is free of gloop. 4) make sure the pinion is in good order and the gear is free to turn and the oil pump is the same 5) Make sure the oil-way to the bar mount is free of gloop and woodchip. 6) Make sure the oil tank breather is clear and allows air in to the tank. Just make sure the oiler pinion and pump are in a condition that the drive picks up from the rotation of the crankshaft and spins freely. You can also try a thinned down oil mix but is really ever only needed in damn cold conditions or if there is a blockage.
