  1. toilet:lol:
  2. ur just 2 miles up the road as well i passed the other day when i was up dumping chip and the snow along the road was level with the window on the van in places we butchered the little david as it was pretty ropey i was always concerned how close your feet/legs are to the cutter head i can do without losing legs. it done the job for a while and now its even narrower than it used to be:thumbup:
  3. which area give us a clue
  4. up here its like a summer day no need for a snow plough yet but maybe for next year
  5. the 35t komatsus that i used to look after would handle a 3ton scrap shear and a gob full of scrap at full stretch no bother so i think a long skinny pop should be well within its capabilities
  6. ive seen it before on scrap shears usually it just keeps breaking the motor bolts the slew ring must be really worn to break the shaft are you sure it isnt the crossover valve thats jammed shut
  7. had a look at them i dont know if its worth building one i might stop at what i have done already i still have to make up a drawbar for the arbtrolley and i think that will do it . i has enough pulling power so i reckon we can even use it for taking the chipper offroad it can't be any worse than the iveco for offroading
  8. next part of the project might be a brush mower gonna have a look about for inspiration
  9. about five mins its just a couple of pins and quick couplers
  10. latest update with the poles on it for carrying logs had it for first time to try it out and it worked pretty good
  11. congratulations its good to see another poor sod turning miserable as the rest of us next thing youll be celibate skint and bald well done:thumbup:
  12. make sure they fit thru the chipper
  13. it isnt a case of slating anything that isnt still or husky these saws come with defective chain brakes low quality parts chains on wrong way etc etc they are dangerous
  14. we gave up hiring stuff and bought our own as there is that much poop in the hire market the only thing we hire in is a jcb as they are so cheap to hire with a good op
  15. hellish more like:lol:
  16. thats pretty much most of our work hence the grinder overall width was 600mm
  17. in the process its going to be using the same chassis as the stump grinder we built last week
  18. we have our own grinder and we would be looking for £250 - 300 you have to allow for picking up and dropping off said grinder at hire shop
  19. and as usual there will be fa in scotland
  20. there are valves made to stop engines overspeeding that are made by a company called chalwyn equipment in poole dorset we used to fit them onto our demolition excavators for when they were working in oil refineries if they pick up flammable gas it causes the revs to rise and shuts the engine off. some of the old detroit 2 strokes had them fitted as standard as the blower seals would fail with catastrophic results:laugh1:
  21. engine stop solenoid with a nacked hold in coil
  22. the damn thing has now cured itself i had it running today i think a bit of fresh petrol and vibration from the grinder has loosened any thing that was in the carb so now it runs ok all that of course happened after i ordered carb off ebay:mad1:
