How long do excacavator mounted stump grinders take?

for a excavator mounted stump grinder you need a lot of flow if not your gonna be disappointed with they're performance -
when i done the machining for ours i set the straight cutters out by 8 mm to increase the cutting width

are the straight cutters set out further with a longer pcd

the wheel for our grinder cost 25 without machining and that was a one off made from alloy steel like the new green wheel in shape

bottom roller shafts are easy to break the circlip groove doesnt have a radius on it .i make them from 32mm bar and turn them back to 25mm it does away with circlip the bottom roller bearing if you replace them dig out the inner seal and fit a grease point makes them last longer also whenever you turn the blades grease the inner flywheel bearing as its usually covered in crap and is quite hard to see in general keep them well lubed and they should last a while good wee chipper if you need to chip anything bigger than 5" you are wasting revenue

sometimes if theres a bad earth going to the ecu if you bridge the starter with ignition switched on the engine may start stick a meter across the battery to see how much of a voltage drop there is during starting then work along the main battery cables to see if there is any drop along each cable the first thing i would do is check the battery as others have said

i am stumped disconect the battery for 10 mins see what happens thats what we do to clear some ecu faults on larger plant it sometimes works if its canbus faults

where the box is situated it can pick up moisture take the four screws out the box and spray with wd40 you will notice that the led should flash when the cutter wheel turns the wires on the loom should be long enough to let you move the box from the arch to inside the engine canopy if you move the reservoir for the feed hyd to the opposite site you can mount the box in the area that it was situated any probs phone me 07780301277

should just be a taper lock sounds like the shaft may have worn ,once you have split the taper lock slide it back along and tighten it up have a look at the key on the shaft and make sure its a snug fit

when you say it takes maize is it the whole plant or just the seeds i would think you should be able to put chip in as it starts to break down when its in the tipper producing heat almost straight away

no chance it would have been closer to 22 grand if i had included my time

i prefer doing one offs with whats lying to hand it was a project that used up quite a lot of materials and a lot of machining hours

no primary relief for each spool just a main relief most blocks dont have a relief that is on the cyl side only on the feed to the spool via load sensing once its thru the spool its locked in by load hold valve in the spool
