  1. A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of a singer called Skull. Not meaning to sound nasty but he looks like a chinese Bob Marley [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YiHxQcc1tM&feature=BFa&list=HL1347137796]Skull - Cry Die - YouTube[/ame]
  2. Its still raging. I've turned it twice using a manitou with a set of straw prongs in the past two days the middle was pretty much untouched just very dry.
  3. Getting into Coheed and Cambria as a colleague brought a CD in for us to listen to. 4. Our biggest fire to date. We had the lovely job of clearing up the steam fair traveller site waste. It was mostly Leylandii, laurel, cedars and silver birch. There was a fair bit of apple and eucalyptus which all went on the fire. We used our little kubota to load it up after we spent an hour loading by hand to get a good base.
  5. I did a Lantra Basic tree inspection course with Derek Brinsley . Very informative but also very useful as it tells you what to look out for and which are the worst for certain trees.
  6. Wheres SamtheScam when ya want him/her?
  7. Knighton Countryside have one. PM Mark Gibbens on here
  8. Got an KM130 R with a shredded female shaft and male shaft on the hedgecutter attachment. One of the locating springs had pinged off somewhere along the line and hadn't been sitting in correctly. Today it felt like it sat in as it should then it just revs like crazy and did barely made the head creep. Both ends are completely round. Is it an easy job to do or is it going to be a dealer job?
  9. He was very lucky. Someone was obviously looking out for Alonso today. In the video is looks like Grosjean's car goes up the air intake/head protector and then Hamiltons car sends Alonso spinning. There hasn't been a crash like that for a little while.
  10. I was watching the race live today and couldnt beleive what i saw when Grosjean made a lunge at Hamilton. Bought time he was given a proper telling off from the stewards with his record of 7 first lap crashes in 12 races. Lucky he didn't seriously injure anyone today. BBC Sport - Belgian GP: Jenson Button wins at Spa for McLaren BBC Sport - Belgian Grand Prix crash: Romain Grosjean banned for one race
  11. Got a drowned Stihl FS480. I was strimming in very very heavy rain this morning and it died on about 1/2 tank. The bottom of the filter box/air intake was dripping so i took the air filter out as it was wet and replaced it with the dry filter from the strimmer in the back of the van. It still didnt run so the next thing is potentially a soaking and possibly shorted coil. Its now in the drying room overnight so will have another go at starting it in the morning.
  12. We have the Female "looking" gene. We go in for a "look" and no doubt come out with something or a few bob cheaper. About 5 years ago the family went out to "look" for a new sofa. We came out with a new 4 seater on order. We then went into a wood furnitiure shop and came out with a new table and chairs (the chairs were £120 each for the armed style and £100 each for the normal) and a new bookcase. We stupidly went to look in the local BMW dealer with dads old and very throaty BMW 325i. Two weeks later we had a 330Ci M Sport. Mum and dad successfully managed to spend about 35 grand in a weekend ha ha.
  13. Last winter we had one of our stretchs of trailway re-surfaced. People complained about the fact that we had 120 ton of dust dumped in a car park which we own. They complained about the mud left on the car park from the 6 ton dumper we had going up and down. The best complaint was about the noise from the chipper and saws as we clear felled sections infront of the digger. There was alot of dust from the chipper and from the stone dust but only 1 complaint about the fact their washing now had to be re-washed.
  14. Not a photoshop. On BBQ number 16 this year so far. Even if its cloudy we still have them. Had one in the rain once ha ha. Well when i say rain more like drizzle.
  15. We need new door bottoms on both sides but dad and i are hoping that theyr arent part of the MOT. We had the chassis patched up but we are going to ask the garage to do a Pre-MOT-MOT check so they can check for any major faults then rectify them before the big test/check then any minor issues can be put as advisories. Tempted to book it in for 8.30 on Monday before the MOT...
  16. Canker. Maybe Birch Conk having a ruddy rummage. Pipto or Fomes wouldn't work that quickly on Birch IMO.
  17. It isnt a 400 watt bull horn it is just a back up. According to the MOT specs as long as the horn can be heard above the engine noise it is a pass. But it cant exceed 120dB (Jet engine)
  18. Would two horns be too much for the MOT? Got the standard LR horn and an ex-Ambulance horn incase the LR horn drowns again. The Ambulance horn is from an Iveco.
  19. That looks like Expansion growth below the canker IMO. Nothing to worry about. It is just the tree strengthening itself.
  20. Slime mould - Fuligo septica
  21. Floyd putting the spring in Springer whilst trying to get a toy i hung on the washing line so dad could get some shots of him and the pup.
  22. Got a letter through on monday from the district council TO and Environmental team saying crack on. We are going to be putting notices up of the planned works 4 weeks prior stating that trees with coloured dots will be coming down or having work done to them.
  23. Hire came with insurance but onlyto cover against unforseen breakages not theft.
