  1. Really odd light /sun here in Colchester too. Apparently it's in part dust from the Sahara and debris from the forest fires in Spain and Portugal!
  2. Nice to have an easy one now and then. Unless it's a trick question - I saw a willow made of old copper pipes once, but it didn't have any leaves...
  3. Ta, have you used them before?
  4. Bumpity bump?...
  5. In the second image, can I see the remains of a veil on the stem?
  6. I've got an old woodworking book on the shelf with a list of uv reactive timber in, if anyone's interested I'll photo the page and post it here later...

    Jokes???

"Orion's Belt is a big waste of space" Terrible joke. Only three stars...
  8. Hi all, can anyone recommend a reasonable topo survey supplier for a domestic client in Brightlingsea please? Cheers...
  9. Compare to Hypholoma capnoides or Pholiota sp. Just ideas, I'm far from certain!
  10. If the tree is outside of a conservation area and is not subject to a TPO, then no notification (for CA) or application (for TPO) needs to be submitted to the local authority...
  11. Nice, there's a lime at Kew Gardens by a lake very similar too...
  12. That's almost creepy, ya murderer!
  13. Could well be, it is a bit pointy. I put it down to them being younger leaves...
  14. Looks like plain old Prunus laurocerasus to me...
  15. The taste is pretty well covered up by the fruit, red fruits are good for disguising any rogue chunks! And before anyone asks I only had a tiny sip once, just out of curiosity [emoji13] These things have crossed my, and I do have my doubts about whether it makes any real difference, but my wife is a hippy and believes it works, so that'll do me thanks! A placebo can be a very powerful thing too - you only need to look into the clinical trials of most antidepressants to see evidence of that... Cheers fella, pnd is an absolute bitch, I genuinely feel blessed to have come out the other end still together with my wife still alive, and my eldest daughter ok too! And good news about your son too. I can't imagine how hearing such a thing would make me feel.
  16. Yep, blitz about two ice cubes worth into a smoothie each day till it's gone. After our first my wife had severe post natal depression, lasted about two years, and very nearly tore our family apart. Consuming the placenta (like most mammals, even herbivores, do - we are animals after all) raw is said to help balance hormones etc lost, and to help restore physical and emotional wellbeing in the mother. This worked with our 2nd and 3rd, so why not try it with our 4th too. And I honestly don't care if it is all just a placebo, there's no harm in trying!
  17. He he, cheers guys. I'll spare you the properly gorey pics. A home water birth and the cleaning of the aftermath is a pretty bloody affair! If you do ever 'dispose' of a person I highly recommend you do it outside!
  18. Is the other arm Stihl?
  19. It was an accident! Honestly guvnor!
  20. Bingo! Only it'll be raw and smoothied...
  21. Mr Spud, you're on the right track...
  22. Anyone able to ID this meat?
  23. I'd just cut them off low as you can comfortably get...
  24. No problem, looks like a big one too...
  25. It's my understanding that caravans are mobile
