  1. Funny, I just got a catalouge in the post today and was looking at this tool while having a cuppa, Its listed at 269€ +tva@20% SCHÄLEN/HOBELN - eder-maschinenbau, Wald,Forst und Holzgeraete Chainsaw not included!
  2. It would seem that arbtalk has a responsibility to up keep, and this is part of the forums ethos that I think we can all respect. It appears to me that a blanket ban is the only fair way the forum can responsibly manage such cases. What arbtalk also has are a LOT of members with a lot of buying power, and a lot of experience in customer relations. So would it be a possibility of starting some kind of impartial and, importantly, voluntary mediation page? I doubt it would be viable, but could be of some benefit to suppliers and members without resorting to liable actions and legal proceedings. Just an idea
  3. If I cant log in and read all the slagging of Husqvarna and Stihl toppers then I will have to resort to facebook, think on guys. I think its just suppliers that are off limits, so no more crazy talk Ty!
  4. Very Pimp, the one on the link looks very smart but far too nice for work. Tinted windows just shout "I've got something to hide" imo
  5. Just been on their website, and seen they give their second hand kit a 28 day warranty, so if you reported the fault within that time you should have some come back...................... I would of thought?
  6. Really sorry to hear about your problems Stu, It sounds like very poor service Have you contacted trading standards uk and got their take on it? Also, would your insurance cover any legal costs etc.? I know its different, but we had problems with our little van shortly after buying it, the patron of the garage told us to poke it, so got our juridique protection to get involved. They sent a guy to the garage and got it fixed under threat of legal action. £20k is a bitter pill to swallow, especially if your only washing it down with smoothies. Chin up mon ami, I can lend you my Donk if it helps?
  7. I have recently gone from prussick to hitch climber back to prussick and now found the zig zag. The zig zag is the best imo, it doesn't need to be dressed like the HC does and is a natural progression from a prussick. It always grabs and makes me feel confident in the tree.
  8. Very cool, but at 400€ I think I will stick with my trusty Tesco carrier bags for my luggage.
  9. That looks interesting:001_huh: I see big lumps of wrist and palm tearing off on that big meat hook! I find carritools a pita with snagging on things, but at least they flex a bit.
  10. I'll drink to that! Thanks again Steve, bloody fantastic site this is.
  11. Thanks Jon, I have a long way to go to make as many posts as you!
  12. We have a lot of Foxes around here, and my neighbor has nightly visits and heavy losses. I have only had 2 birds taken in 9 years. The difference? my dogs roam the field and gardens here, piddling on everything, and their "leavings" are put on the hedges near the chicken plot. My neighbor has his dogs locked in a cage 24/7.
  13. I've not had the chance to try, I have been logging up firewood the last few days and wrenched my shoulder this morning with my hookaroon.ffs:sneaky2: Once I have manned up I will be trying it without the wire gate. Also, good chatting with you stubby, always enjoy your threads/contributions
  14. Well, this is my 1000th post, and by coincidence it was 4 years ago that I joined arbtalk. I would just like to say a very big thank you to Mr Bullman for his fantastic site. I have learned more here than in any other place:blushing: I would also like to thank the members that make the site such a fantastic resource, sharing in your highs and sometimes lows, sharing tips and advice........... even if it's just to "Man up" and stop whingeing! I know my 1000 is nothing compared to some members, Im just amazed that i could hit this mark. I just keep coming back for more. Thanks arbtalk and its members
  15. Hookaroon aka log pick, Great in fresh pulp, absolute rubbish on seasoned beech. Just wrenched my shoulder trying to pull a 2m length off the pile:sneaky2:
  16. Not really watching, but my brother in law is doing the live feed graphics for the match. He has been in Brasil since the first game.
  17. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I thought it looked different, I have a sequoia so not an option, I suppose I could rig it on there somehow? perhaps a little bit of webbing or some cable ties?
  18. Yeah, bollox to that:001_tt2: The birds and bugs are plenty around here, and this is the only alder for miles. Its part of a little arboretum that I planted so has value to me. Im not into sprays or chemicals, I should of made that clear, was looking at a natural cure. The birds are busy clearing up the Oaks and Apple orchards, they don't seem fussed about these larvae. In the end, I just climbed the tree and shook it to clear the worst of them. Ultimately, I know that nature can be cruel, but I can be crueler:001_tt2: Only kidding, I love having a healthy eco system and try to encourage it as much as possible.
  19. Just behind my side "D" but will see if I can move it closer to the front.
  20. Thanks for that, its like being in your shoes, only your not wearing any! Your caritool looks different to mine, will try your technique tomoz:thumbup:
  21. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FJ3NzcpQ2I]Husqvarna T540XP - YouTube[/ame] see 1.08 he seems to have the knack!
  22. Its not the strop ring I have trouble with, its the 2nd "clip" on the ass end of the saw that has me puzzled:confused1: It looks so easy on the husky promo video
