  1. Second that, it stinks too! I replace the liner every month or two but it adds up ££££££.
  2. got a bit of string here somewhere, how long is it? Seriously tho, how old, how long has it been running a 24"? too much bar imo, and if its had a life of that it may need work imo.
  3. A bit I suppose, but no worse than the chin strap.
  4. Its like eating puked up mans chilli, once you've had it theres no going back!
  5. Like a glove! even with all the other visors down!
  6. I now have a new goal in life! That set up is the balls, very nice set up indeed!
  7. I just got a pair of rock croft from gustharts, not used them in anger yet, but Friday they will be getting a workout, they look and feel nice tho. You would have to be a class 3 pervo heavy breather to steam these bad boys up!
  8. The chilli takes days, but worth it. The meat is reduced to strands of flavor, and any fat will just mix in to the sauce. Just remember to put the kidney beans in on the final day or they will be mush.
  9. Been on the stew for 3 days, Mrs Normandy has been away in the UK, so left fending for myself, I made a huge batch and left it in the slow oven, gets better each day:laugh1: She comes home tonight, so a pizza seemed like the least amount of work.
  10. Get a grip man, on yer bike! Good idea, like the throw bag idea too:thumbup:
  11. Chilli con carne with cuts of beef, not mince. 2-3 days in the slow cooker of the rayburn and the meat just falls apart! Also, Spanish pork. From memory, brown some cheap cuts of pork, no bone, then into the pot, a little water, lots of paprika, and half a bottle of Madeira?? Needs a good few hours, but it melts! Flipping pizza tonight
  12. I have to say that I love christmas, not the presents, but the atmosphere. The decorations, food, chance to put my feet up and not feel guilty. BUT, when it all starts a month or more in advance, by the time christmas comes, I'm tired of it! I think its a sign of the times, rather than being a couple of days of rest and celebration to brighten up the winter, its a big indulgent show:thumbdown:
  13. What Skyhuck said It has changed the way I climb and improved my confidence in the tree. It took no time to get used to it. All the benefits of a VT with the confidence and grab of a prussik! It's the balls:thumbup:
  14. ........................Yet another record delivery! 2 days is incredible service! Just done another big order with the "legends of the North" and I am so pleased with the whole experience, customer for life here Thanks for the sweets and magazine, you guys are the best:blushing:
  15. More than half of Stubby's eight thousand+ posts are about the t540xp Get neither, have your 200t restored.
  16. No, not thought about going direct to the importer. I have the feeling that buying here in France will ramp the cost up tho, am I misinformed? as I would gladly eat a slice of humble pie and get one here.
  17. In a perfect world I would love a tw150 but can't raise that kind of money. I have had soooo much bad luck with second hand kit in the last couple of years, that I would prefer to buy new. For 2 reasons, 1 warranty and 2 I would know how its been looked after.
  18. Hi Guys, After years of hiring sub standard chippers I have decided to approach the bank and get funding ( I hope!) for a new/nearly new chipper. I was set on a cs100 and felt it would cope well with our needs, but after using a nearly new tw150 and being totally blown away by its performance, I think it would be an idea to aim bigger. I think the TW125 would be ideal, but wondered if there was anything else in this price bracket that I should look at? It must be sub 750kg due to registration issues here in france, as I would be purchasing in the uk. Any thoughts on an alternative? Not bearcat as heard bad things.
  19. As far as I can see, the introduction has been paid for, end of. When I get work from gardeners, I tend to include them in the job, dragging brash and clearing up, they tidy the garden as they would like it for their client, and get a days bunce. win win.
  20. Can anyone tell me if the rc1000 comes with the top attachment strap? If not would it be worth getting something a bit beefier like a dead eye etc?
  21. The long and short of it is there is no one perfect arb truck. To have the perfect balance of payload, 4x4, tipper, crane? you will be running a 10 tonner, or a mog, then comes fuel bills and other size related headaches.
  22. So the mechanic has had a look and thinks its the crankshaft, he is going to strip it today and let me know his findings. Cant be that bad
