  1. We locals call em Emetts we d' do! bleddy buggurrrs, frum Lundun, don't by nuffin from local shops, no, bring it with'em. Second homes, peas and carrots in their Pasty. Tis bleddy shame see!
  2. That looks a fantastic bit of kit! what would a boxer like that with the grapple bucket cost? how would it compare to a compact tractor with loader?
  3. Is this combined tree services/tuttle making a comeback bid?
  4. I get a fair bit of that, the grubs are more cream coloured like the ones they eat on the celebrity jungle trash show. We also have loads of stag beetles flying about in the summer.
  5. I get it at times, often on something silly that would normally get done in no time, without thinking. Try not to think about it and get up another tree and do some limb walking and get your confidence back. I remember a similar thread and lots get it.
  6. Sounds good stubby, do you have a vid of the 346 in action? could you post a video of the 372 when you run her in some wood?
  7. Yeah, a german company is going to call its line up Magnum Series! MOTO SAGEN sounds right. How could you class a ms170 as Magnum?
  8. As above. I have been thinking lately about my ultimate line up, with no room for extras, but can't slim it down to 2 saws.
  9. That looks nasty gnome, i hope your back to 100% fast.
  10. The last pair i purchased were the arbortec, they looked really nice and technical but they were terrible. all the seams create little pressure points around your wrists not recomended
  11. Best paid job work to wages ratio is on the dole.
  12. I was there last year and hardly recognised the place, having spent 20+ years there. One way systems all different, my old shop (Truro Photographic) is now a butchers, every other shop is a coffee shop, all the pubs have gone "up market" except the crab and ale. went for a beer at the pandorra and it had burnt down, "Oh la vache" as the french would say!
  13. Thanks for that, but it makes me feel home sick! I do miss Cornwall, being a Truro boy. Cheers Worcswuss
  14. Refurbed supreme with back boiler, looks like new cost me £2250 5 years ago, i think they are still under £3k, from Hereford. Bargain! http://www.countrystylecookers.com/supreme.php Speak to Leon.
  15. Looks like a fun job, love to see my Cornwall in photos, have forwarded this thread to a mate, he may be able to help? He's called Kevin, good bloke.
  16. Rayburn Supreme, Heats my house (big 5 double bed 170m2) via rads, cooks well, hotwater too. I love it!
  17. I'm sure when I'm your age i will feel the same way, young whipper snappers, don't know they are born, I fought and died in 2 world wars for you and your mates to use internet forums, bah humbug, where's my flat cap, where are my teeth, who's talking, I don't belive it! We could start you up a new thread, Victor Meldrew and mates.
  18. My Dad used to have a static on a caravan site, that had a coal fired stove with back boiler central heating. When it got broken by a heavy handed chimney sweep, he replaced it with a villager puffin multifuel with back boiler. it was not very good with coal as it was a very small opening and the firebox was small. difficult with logs over 2" diameter too. A good solid base for it made of concrete or similar so you dont burn the floor with embers etc. With a radiator in every room and upvc double glazing it was toasty.
  19. Fantastic! urine is being released into trousers funny!
  20. You could try a sabre saw with a demolition/rescue blade. they are designed to cut wood with metal in. Or a chopsaw with a nail blade? screwfix used to sell these things when i lived in England, they would be my first point of contact if they are still about?
  21. Sorry should have been more clear in the effect that the blastic material has, being that it's thicker than a normal glove so contacts the chain brake sooner than a non balistic padded glove or bare hand in the event of a kickback, as a bonus feature, not as its primary role ie; cut protection.
  22. I have always thought that its there if the chain snapped or derailed. I think that the padding effect would buy you a split second in activating the chain brake in the event of a kickback too.
  23. You want to think about your stuff thats in those rooms as it wont take long for them to get mouldy. Dehumidifier from a local hire shop may help. But bedding and clothes will suffer as will carpets. I would think the insulation should be removed to let the loft air out too. Make sure any loss adjuster that visits takes note of all of it.
