  1. Has anyone any experience of the above? Sick and tired of the standard Husky/Stihl orange and white leather that rip, are cold, uncomfortable etc. These looked like a good alternative if a little more expensive, but if they last twice as long/are twice as good, then who cares? Oh, and wheres the cheapest place? Clark forest have them for £32. Timberland ProTimber Chainsaw Gloves | Clark Forest : Chainsaw Clothing Atb & Thanks Sam
  2. Im not no, work experience is finished at Reaseheath but Ill be around again soon like shooting or whatever. Ill let you know anyway. If I cant get any payed work I might be back, yan never know :L

  4. Not quite... the only people GBA make for other than themselves is Ray Mears. Wetterlings makea reasonable axe. But its not comparable to Cegga,GBA, Snow & Nealley. I own a GBA Forest axe, a Snow & Nealley Hudson bay and a Wetterlings Swedish Forest Axe. Out of the three the Snow & Nealley is the best. However they are impossible to get hold of in this country, IME, and I only managed to get mine via a Canadian friend. Second is the GBA, an a good length behind is Wetterlings. If I could afford it, a Cegga is the way forward Sam
  5. Its on the lowest setting for the olier (13"-15" bar). Its only a few weeks old so we shall see. Ill not b sending it back yet Cheers
  6. When its turned off, as well as when its running. Sam
  7. Hello, My brand new Husky 346 seems to have developed an oil leak from the chain oiler. Its hardly been used and leaks constantly. Anyone come across this before? Is it fixable or best of sending it back under warranty? Cheers Sam
  8. On a shot gun certificate yes (anything above three) but on a Firearms certificate its legal Sam
  9. Im after a 4 or 8 for the foreshore. Used to have a beautiful E M Reilly 4 bore with a 44-inch barrel. It only ever killed geese, but it was some gun. I sold it a couple of years back as it wasn't getting the service out of it, a month later and I missed it. Everytime I have been out with the Supernova (my fowling piece) Old Rosie (all my guns have names ) is missed. Im a plastic stock man with all but game shooting shotguns, but those old fowling pieces are something else. Sam
  10. Quite agree, 12f/lb kills rabbits and such out to 40m with headshots. Practice practice practice. I dont do much airgun work nowadays (prefer a .22lr) but when I did a bit then Weirach (spelling) were very highly rated. Its all good fun Sam, shooting - .22lr .22 Hornet .22-250 6.5x55 (beast of a calibre) .270 .30-06 12bore pump 20bore o/u 20bore s/s
  11. Fair enough mate, but take it from me mate you'll miss one sooner or later. Keep up the goodwork Sam

  13. Awful thing to happen to anyone. Especially at this time of year. My thoughts are with you Sam
  14. If your thinking about the size of wood that Im thinking about wouldn't a froe be better? Sam
  15. What sort of money is something like that mate? (Also just liked your facebook jobby, very swish) Sam
  16. In certain areas the fell packs are the only way to control foxes. Trust me, I've tried to match them (up in the north lakes) with a rifle but round there you cant beat Edmund Porter & the Eskdale and Ennerdale. With all due respect if people have never winged a beast when shooting then they haven't shot many things. Sam
  17. Up to 469 trapped/shot this year - might have another couple on boxing day shoot (actually on the monday) would be nice to get it up to 500 though. They are the only species I want to get the isles rid of! Sam
  18. Yeah... If they make my hair look like your picture job, I'll pass thanks! Sam
  19. Lagavulin or Talisker Sloe Gin (Home made) Sam
  20. Gransfors Bruks. Sorted. Sam
  21. From the Whacky Races? Or am I missing something... Sam
  22. But a full one. Between me and my old man we are probably taking 4 deer a week on average, eat it a couple of days a week to boot, never get tired of it! Its cheap when you shoot it yourself! Sam
  23. It has BBC iPlayer - Top Gear: Series 15: Episode 7 Sam
