  2. It grabs everytime and only takes a delicate touch to descend but I only weigh 9.5 stone:).
  3. Stick something just under the rw like a zip tie to stop it inverting. Here is my new set up its a real short system and works a treat for me. 9 inch tether with 62cm e2e with a 2 wrap knut.
  4. To all the other travellers jumping on the hype.
  5. So what have they sacrificed from the normal motion to come up with the superlight. So far no clips and less padding anything else?
  6. I might have to give this a try. Would it be safe without much of core taper? Ie a couple of strands left?
  7. If you want the best for self tending then 11mm velocity is the best but if you want something thats abit thicker to hold then tachyon. Id would personally stay away from pi it has to much flex . Rigid ropes are better for self tending.
  8. Interesting. How is the spice performed to give it more flex? The cross over looks really smooth no buldges in the throat.

  18. Get the samson spicing guide off the net pdf files. Start on 16 strand xtc new rope. And watch you tube videos. There is plenty of threads covering what tools are needed.
  19. I have a sequoia and one thing that really gets on my nerves is the side ds they are more to the front than the side and can be fiddly to find at times.other than that its a tidy harness once you have made adjustments. Im also running the smallest bridge. Im intrigued by the new tree motion.
  20. One thing i would worry about is the screw gate on the mallion rubbing against the webbing as the rings allow the attatchments to pivot.
  21. John is a top splicer, central has been banned for a few reasons so keep it local boys johns ya man
  22. Well dairymeade is being re stocked soon, lots of strong fighting rainbows but the browns are hard to get, I caught it on a sinking daddy long legs wrong time I no but just gave it a go.
