Is it too late to apply for these positions?

  3. Don't forget yourcones and signs, oh and a little matter of insurance, silky ibuki works well
  4. Last nights was the 4th in series
  5. Should be some pics goin up soon,
  6. He doesnt anyway but sure he would find a way to make money out of the situation lol
  7. I used to Subbie for keighley tree services back then
  8. Did you ever work for reed and co utility services?
  9. Yep, talking to homeowner who isn't client there's been 4 other tree surgeons round to look at job, since I was there a fortnight ago. tree has now demolished half of wall it was resting on, am really hoping the bloody thing just falls over and I just have to tidy up the mess lol. How long you been doing trees mr walker?
  10. Got an easy days work for someone , if you could message or post contact details and rate for day please
  11. The £340 for a week was a joke, and when the price was broken down it did seem reasonable apart from I think delivery is about 10 miles each way so seems a little ott at £80. I would always prefer to give me money to a fellow arb than a hire company, where ever possible. If I get back to the job I'll get some pics. In my time I've done the trees that no one else would touch so it's not often I resort to a mewp but in this case it's the only way
  12. Have done, just have to wait and see, and Mr Walker I figure the tree will take no more than 3 hours to get on deck so if ya fancy showing me how to man up and climb it I'll pay you £350 only conditions are you can't damage the single thickness brick wall the tree is resting on, the shed on the other side of the wall or the neighbours fence and shed that the tree is now over
  13. Surely the fact that I am unfamiliar with the current hire rates for mewps would lead the more astute to conclude there ain't no dust on me harness, apart from the current days sawdust.
  14. It was Rodgers, included local delivery and insurance
  15. So far been quoted £340 said I only wanted it for a day not the week lol
  16. Would prefer owner operator. It's j31 m1
  17. Anyone know of anyone local that hires tracked mewps, cheers
  18. What were your requirements for a climber?
  19. Still looking for work, if anyone has anything or knows of anything it would be much appreciated , cheers
  20. Since I started this maybe I should add a bit more. I don't want to stack shelves at tesco, I love working trees, always have and always will. This post was more about the constant worry of if there's going to be enough money to pay the bills at the end of the month. Which i'm sure its not just me worrying about. Currently I have no jobs booked. No Subbie work booked and need to find about £700 for end of month hence my worry, only option will be to start selling my equipment. But then we all know that's a slippery slope. Thanks to everyone who offered there support and words of wisdom
  21. Would love to do utility work but if I had the grand to pay for the tickets then I wouldn't be as hacked off durr!!!
  22. Is it just me or are other people getting fed up struggling to meet the ever increasing bills, whilst people contantly undervalue work, making it impossible to make a living. I bet if I cut my prices by 50% I still wouldn't be cheapest and I actually own my truck and chipper, so overheads are minimum. Don't get me wrong. I still love the job, nothing beats taking down a 70ft ash into a 2 metre square dropzone. Or looking at a spot on reduction at the end of the day, but boy could I do with a rest from struggle
