Yeah, I use a lot of subbies and sub myself to a lot of people, and by and large we all help each other out, above and beyond sometimes! It's good to know you can rely on people when your up against it and vice versa -

Nice one, some very good advice there. While I've no intention of falling out with my local TO I will bring up the fact it s emergency measure and the order being in place is detrimental to the trees rather than helping them

Yeah that's about right, on my own jobs if the customer wants extras I split the extra money equally with the lads, seems fair if the days money's been made -

That was/is one of my pet hates as a subby climber, I like to know exactly what's expected/needs to be done that day so I can work hardest to easiest, that said if it's extra cash for doing an unexpected extra I can cope! -
I do some work for a architectural concrete manufacturer, there whole site is TPO ed, it's an ex railway goods yard with embankment s either side with some really nice trees and mostly scrotty regen/ self seeded crap, TO wont let us touch anything without application. It's frustrating because what ever nice trees are coming through are being crowded out. And going through 2000 odd saplings on a application is not gonna happen!

I disagree, Dave bought a winch off eBay as spares or repair not knowing what was wrong, he got lucky. Knowingly telling a mate somethings worth f all when you know otherwise is a different thing

I've only had one attack so far, lasted for 3 weeks! They tried amltryptiline first and codeine, which seemed to make it worse if anything, tegretol was amazing, worked instantly, took it for a few weeks and has not reappeared

I bought one through openspaceman, Ran it hard for 10 months with no issues, upgraded to a 540 last week, as said rollers ain't as aggressive as some other chippers but it made me a lot of money and buying at that price you are never going to lose as if it's running it will always be worth a couple of grand base value

I had that absolute worst pain I have ever ever had, you want to tear your face off, I initially thought it was tooth related, came up clear on that went to gp 5 times and they were very little help, then one morning I nearly passed out with the pain and my Mrs drove me to casualty, brilliant doctor gave me this drug called tegretol, pain went almost instantly, the relief was almost worth the pain I was so happy! So yeah well done nhs,
